I’d like to see Walker at RCB for these first couple of games and then Belgium go for Cahill in place of Trippier and put Walker out wide. I’d imagine that would be what’s Southgate does too.

Spoke to big Phil about Pickford yesterday. Reckons he’s lousy at crosses and won’t come off his line enough. Any team that’s done their homework will flood our box with crosses. Says he shouts and screams at his defenders too much, and doesn’t actually communicate enough.

Given how he predicted Cassilas as a weakness to the Spain side of 2014, be interesting to see if he gets it right again,
