My hearing's not the best, but it sure as hell sounds like they're blowing those infernal things. Has that happened in the other games so far?WCpete wrote:Russian security has been very lax. Vuvuzelas have been allowed into the stadium.

Those Africans causing mayhem, smuggling them in.
To be fair I'd rather listen to vuvuzelas, than the England band..

That's a tough call. At least the English band take a break every once in a while.

Iran have a bit of muscle snd some pace on a straight line and a good goalie. They certainly won't be progressing from this group

True, but the incessant, buzzing, atonal drone gets tiring very quickly.WCpete wrote:That's a tough call. At least the English band take a break every once in a while.
The England band, I mean.

The day that cringe-worthy England band learn to play in tune is the day England win the World Cup. So never.

Dribbling seems to be a bit of an issue in this match. The ability to dribble, that is.

Re: Morocco v Iran Match thread ~ Group B
Some of those Iran throws have looked a bit foul.
Morocco clearly the better football team & should win but Iran going for the smash & grab.
Good game so far.
And yes, that constant bloody droning..
from Ian Dowie.

Morocco have had a few dribbles, through a backing-off defence mind

This stadium is one of the semi-finals & the third place match so expect the same noise, at those matches..brothernero wrote:Vuvuzelas.

I don't mean any disrespect by this, but does anyone else get the feeling that Women in football, try way too hard to sound like they know what they are talking about, Eniola Aluko for example is a quality player and probably knows more about the game than I ever will, but it just feels forced like she's trying to prove a point to the men that she knows her stuff, sad really.

It does feel a little bit like tokenism. A bit forced. I also don't mean any disrespect, though.

Same. They rarely seem to pass much opinion, just dry observation - which actually is fairly refreshing, I guess, but not really what we want from pundits. Need them to dissect tactics AND give the player's experienced viewpoint, too.
