Whatever the record is for penalties awarded at a World Cup it's going to be beaten hands down with this VAR b*llocks.
4 penalties in 2 and a half games today.

I thought the full stutter then stop on the run up was illegal anyway.

It kind of makes ITV and BBC look good, maybe even a bit refined.

Thing is it isn’t. NBC and espn do a good job of announcing football matches. Fox are a nightmare.
The announcer keeps giving the color guy a hard time for being a millennial and the color guy essentially just told him to shut up already. Professionals these two are not.
Peru deserve at least a point out of this. That penalty miss is looming very large.

Peru have looked very good on the ball, but up front their players just aren't on each others wave lengths
Re: #7 Peru v Denmark - Match thread ~Group C
They must feel sick after that, a combination of poor finishing and Denmark riding their luck and good defending. Peru's defence doesn't look much cop though

Peru were really unlucky there. They threw the kitchen sink at it. Jermaine Jenas is the worst commentator on TV. He drives me nuts.

Jenas:Tottenham were the better team and deserve to be in the final
Lampard:They're not though are they, Chelsea are

But this happens nearly every game he commentates on lolLampard shutting him after Chelsea
A colleague puts him in his place one way or another. I don't know how he draws a wage from TV.

Re: #7 Peru v Denmark - Match thread ~Group C
I know that it goes against the concensus on this thread but I'm glad that he missed the penalty because I don't think it should have been given.
He pulls the ball back with his right foot fine but then, rather than play the ball again with his right foot, puts his right leg wide in an unnatural position into the path of the opponents leg, BEFORE the contact is made; not the other way around, which would have been a penalty.
That is cheating but he did it so well that on some angles (from behind or in front) it looked stonewall.
Look at it again from the side. He had no need to put his right leg there, unless he was conning for a pen.
I f***ing hate cheaters. And that's WITH var..
