#8 Croatia 2-0 Nigeria - Group D

Post by Puff Daddy »

Or Borussia Dortmund v Ajax

Croatia have lots of promise and even glimpses of attacking flair and Nigeria have some promising young talent, but will they make it out of the group stage ?

Group D is a toughie, and you fancy that this game is the early playoff for who finishes runner up behind Argentina.

It's hard to imagine Iceland replicating Euro 2016, but you never know in a world cup. Croatia have flattered to deceive a few times now since their semi final appearance at France 98.

Why do they have a Scotsman doing co-commentary? What does the World Cup have to do with them?

Bit like the Beeb asking Ryan Giggs to share his experiences skipping international friendlies and away qualifiers and never playing tournament football.

I was going to ask if the Croat centre half does that elbow in the centre circle it's a certain foul, so why is it different in the box. He didn't mean to do it but it's still a foul. Nigeria little unlucky in my opinion

Keane vs Bilic - who takes it? The bad tempered boggy or the curiously-coiffed Croatian?

One of my highlights of the tournament so far. Slav is very touchy-feely when he talks, and you can tell it makes Keane so uncomfortable.

Bit of a stinker this one.

Always thought it strange that Moses represented England at every level then opted for Nigeria for the seniors
