That goal would have probably been ruled out in the PL.
Good decision for the game though.

If that is a foul then almost every corner goal scored would be disallowed. We need to decided is football a contact sport or not

Wasn't it under one of our financial meltdowns? Don't think it was for footballing reasons

If that's a foul then it's a free kick every time a player touches another..

It's a contact sport you must be stronger than that ..

I agree. I also think this would not have been debated so much if the boot was on the other foot.

Lesser nation sets up to defend and plays on the counter. Spends the last 20 minutes camped in their own half, playing for fouls and disrupting the game.
Predictable in terms of leaser teams doing as you say but not dull imo. There's not much else a lesser side can do is there? The worst display so far for me was the French, they spent the entire game playing for fouls and feigning injury to get players booked/sent off. That's one of the tournament favourites :thdn:

For reasons I'm not quite sure of, I really dislike Brazil
I think it’s the way they’re forever branded as the greatest football nation on the planet, despite the fact that through many of our lifetimes, the likes of Germany, Italy, Spain, France and even the Argies have actually played more interesting football with less of the tiresome media hyperbole

Kudos to Tyldesley - Cher's playing, along with Miranda, Granny Shagger and Omid Djalili.
