Post by Puff Daddy »

Uruguay will do enough to win and will happily take the 1-0 if that means the 3 points

I’m hoping Saurez continues to look broken and fails to score.

In fact I’m going for a surprise 2-1 Saudi win

The midfield really needs to get sorted. Not unusual for Tabarez to take a couple games to figure things out but vs. Egypt there were some very strange deployments. De Arrascaeta is a CAM yet he was told to stay out left. Meanwhile Laxalt, a natural left-sided player sat on the bench. La Celeste need to mix it up and not just look to advance down the flanks. It's too predictable.

I’ve got Cavani and Suarez both to score at 2/1 with Skybet

Suarez is looking more and more like Freddie Mercury.

Think this is 3-0 to Uruguay

I don't think we will see a great performance from them. Still think this will be a stifling, stuttering display from Uruguay with just the one goal, maybe 2-0

There has been a general pampering of 'big players' from 'big clubs' by the officials.

Probably explain why Kane hasn't got any help from them

The game could be 4-4 and it would still be hard to watch because of him. He makes me wish we had Andy Townsend back.

Worse by far.

Been hovering over the keyboard trying to find something to say about this game. Oh yeah, I like the Saudi away shirt.

Uruguay have always had the best kit imo.

The game is shockingly poor. Uruguay are many peoples pick. Going on their first two games. No chance.

Saudi Arabia look like they want to play nice football, but just aren't good enough.

Uruguay don't look like they want to play football at all, even though they're more than good enough.

Phil Neville insight: something along the lines of
The Uruguayan fans just want to see their team win, no matter how ugly, and get further in the competition than ever before.
Further than the 2 times they won it, Phil?
