Yeah Spain may have shot their bolt vs Portugal and Iran will exploit this.

Iran are leading the group, Spain go into this as underdogs with no pressure.

Anything less than a 3-0 win will be viewed as a huge failure by the Spanish.
I know a girl from Iran, and to her its not about winning, its about the pride of being there. I am rooting firmly for Iran!

After suffering the other two matches today, I've decided to take a mini break from it all this evening. I just couldn't sit through another match like those tonight, even though Spain should score a couple

I wonder who Russia would prefer in the last 16. Portugal or Spain?
Of course, they'd prefer Iran!

Iran shaping up like a complete unit defensively. Spain gradually picking holes in it.

I had the game on mute and for a while thought Spain were in the red and Iran the White. I was thinking "Wow Iran are taking the game to Spain here and playing really well"
DOH!!

Nah they've set up to defend. Two times they've made inroads near the Spanish penalty area they've looked clueless like they don't know what they're doing there. No urgency in attack. Would love it if Iran took the game to Spain but I fear they just haven't got the talent.

With the vuvuzela type drone in the background I’m tempted to mute it toobrothernero wrote:I had the game on mute and for a while thought Spain were in the red and Iran the White. I was thinking "Wow Iran are taking the game to Spain here and playing really well"

Annoys the bum off of me too. Rooting against reality for Iran, but almost hope a Spanish goal takes the wind out of those 'shapour' (which I'm told they're called)

I'm quite enjoying watching this war of attrition between their well organised Iranian 10 man defence and the passing game and neat interplay of the Spanish. Who will give first?

It's amazing that no team has yet to come up with the perfect strategy on how to get around a parked bus.
Is the answer really as simple as a Carroll or a Crouch?

Would have been a useful option, but was never going to happen.Paddy O'Hammer wrote:It's amazing that no team has yet to come up with the perfect strategy on how to get around a parked bus.
