Shiny happy people
Anyone else finding the comically staged “official Fifa” crowd shots a bit weird & creepy?
Any game that has involved an “emerging football nation” has apparently only had that teams supporters at the ground (Tunisia vs England), and almost every shot has just been women who look like they’ve walked straight off a catwalk, save for the replica tops and perfectly placed flags for the cameras.
The Iranian “supporters” tonight against Spain might be the absolute nadir. Dorris’ from Iran wearing more makeup than Robert Smith and less clothes than Jordan.

World Cups have always been a bit like that though haven't they? The camera man usually locates an attractive woman that's preferably semi clothed with face paint. For a bloke to get on they've either gotta be in full traditional costume, full on body paint + headress or crying

There are plasterers in the UK who would do very well as beauticians in Iran. Goes with the territory. In Russia they can let go without the hijab and trousers.e17 wrote:Dorris’ from Iran wearing more makeup than Robert Smith and less clothes than Jordan.

Re: Shiny happy people
Seems some people in Columbia are not so shiny and happy.

Looks like they're not allowed to go to the World Cup and enjoy a drink then, and this bloke has been sacked, banned from all world cup games and seemingly made a pariah in Columbia for accepting a shot from fellow fans at a football match. The people in the video were now being accused of encouraging a negative stereotype about Colombians, with many on social media comparing them to "people who put drugs in suitcases"
