Re: Nigeria v Iceland - Match thread ~ Group D
Nigeria looked uninterested in their last game, no one works harder than the Icelandic team, and that should be enough to see them through.

I think that's a fantastic back to lay opportunity.

For the tournament.
It's not to think they'll win it, but moreso that if and when they do go through (even a draw in today's game) will see their price plummet and you'll be able to lay it off for at least a 100% profit, leaving a fat whack on Argentina to win it, then trade off later as you see fit.
You leave it till they actually do qualify from the group - if they indeed do so - then I expect they'd drop down to 10s or maybe lower for a very good profit opportunity.

Makes sense. I used to love Betfair trading back in the day. How are the markets for liquidity these days? I remember the last time I had a little browse there seemed to be thousands of markets but with little money being traded on them.

If Iceland win this then Argentina are as good as out. Sorry Nigeria, I'm gonna do a Tony Henry and cheer on the bargain supermarket here.

Plentiful, James. On the main markets - 2.5, winner, btts, correct score etc
Depending on the size of the match, some of the lesser markets can be a little sparse, but still have good opportunities if the prices are there.
£20.5m in this particular one!

That's because they take on their father's name.Samba wrote:Fun fact: Every single Iceman's name ends in son, including the manager & all the subs, BAR one.
