Which of our former World Cup players would you have back?

Post by poplargeezer »

Just watching Behrami play for Switzerland tonight think that I wouldn't mind having him back with us.

Any thoughts on any of our ex-players on show at the World Cup?

Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t we play Behrami on the wing for the majority of his time here?

Behrami and Moses always chose the wrong option for a final ball, they still do. I wouldn't want either back.

Behrami was too injury prone for us. Good when he first arrived but recall it all going rather sour.

I thought Manuel Da Costa did ok for us , probably not good enough for us now aged 32 but back then he was very good [ in my opinion ] .

Gave away the most ridiculous penalty decision I've ever seen. He had that massive jump on him and someone backed under his knees causing him to fall on the guy and somehow that's a penalty against...

Just for clarification purposes , should your question read ' Which of our ex players currently playing in the 2018 World Cup would you have back ? ' ?

Not , would you like Martin Peters , Bobby Moore , Geoff Hurst , Trevor Brooking , Matthew Upson etc etc back ?
