A man advantage and another goal knocks Germany out - so they decide to park the bus? Cowards.
You sound like Pinky with the Cowards. It was very Allardesque tactically.

Sweden don't deserve to go any further after that second half performance. They bottled it. Even when Boateng got sent off they showed no ambition whatsoever.

They're now in a position where they'll have to beat Mexico 'cos sure as **** the Boxheads will beat South Korea.

The funniest outcome, and therefore the one I want, is SK getting a miracle 2 goal win,and Mexico getting a win. Mexico wins the group and Korea take second.

To be fair the Swedes should have had 2 penalties

Jammy German ****ers. 95th minute goal, but the Swedes should have had a clear pen when it was 0-0.

That said Sweden offered nothing second half and just defended at 1-1, asking for trouble that.

Think that one volley from outside the box was their first second half shot on target....

iirc....

Not sure one could say "jammy"...

iirc the Swedish gk made several fantastic saves, one off the post

76% to 24%
18 to 7
6 to 5

and has been stated...Swedes were up by 1 man for the last what 10 minutes or that, and it looked like the Germans had that extra man.....

no sympathy from me...

The Swedes had the Germans on the ropes in the first half, came to defend in the second despite the quick equaliser. To their credit Germany did do something to change the formation and looked much more like their old selves in the second, but Sweden, rather than do what was successful in the first half changed tactics to defend for a draw…it cost them going through in the group.

This result leaves Mexico needing a win as well, so instead of putting out a reserve team V Sweden they'll have to go for it. So again the Swedes shot themselves in both feet with one bullet. Forty seconds they had to hang on…no other team would do that would they? (yes I am being ironic).

A draw is enough for Mexico, they don't need to win, so Sweden will have to play attack against a counter attacking Mexico

I was hoping the germans were on the way out... Sweden did the same against Italy, parked the double decker bus. I knew it was a bad sign when I saw Durmaz coming on. I saw him many times at Olympiakos and he often did stupid things, weak passes across the middle and needless fouls like in this match.
Sweden should have been less cautious and it would have relieved a lot of the pressure.
I would have loved it if Germany were going home early.
Come on Korea. Go on Son!

I know I'm a bit slow but that result & the manner of it, has just sunk in.
What a f***ing nightmare.
Only Germany could be let off a stonewall penalty, be a man down, be 40 seconds away from going home after only 2 games & yes, now a dead cert to win the f***ing thing. :thdn:
No way that would ever happen to England. :thdn:
Still, at least Fifa are probably happy. That's the main thing.. :thdn:
Seriously dischuffed.

I didn´t want them to win, too many Bayern players in there, Bierhoff is a ****er and the Özil / Gündogan thing really pisses me off as a german. But they played pretty well in 2nd half, and Sweden deserved the loss.

As soon as they committed that foul on the edge of the box in the 94th minute I knew.
You don't give ze Germans a chance like that.
Sweden should of had a couple of pens but they were cowards in the end, they sat very deep and invited Germany to attack. It was probably a fair result, still gutted though.

It’s not the first time a European country has surrendered to the Germans without a fight but the difference being the last time the Germans used force. I would’ve been so angry last night if I was a Swedish supporter. Absolute cowards and naive as f*ck. I was willing them to hold on but both teams got what they deserved.

She’s 8 and requires many hugs every time we do anything for her. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
