Both through already but this is a top of the table clash to decide who then plays Spain or Portugal. Probably.
Not that Uruguay or Russia can decide who they want, as this one is the earlier kick-off. ITV 3pm.

That would be a total shock if it emerged they were. Completely unlike Russia.
Anyway, almost a dead rubber this as they'll both likely be playing Spain or Portugal, but won't know which way around until after the match.

Uruguay switching to 3-5-2 with way more youth and speed in the midfield.
Nandez out on the right flank doesn't make sense but other than that it's a selection that lots of their rabble have been looking for.

The Russian manager has said his team's been tested and they're all clean. And I, for one, believe him.

I don't know much about PEDs but given the players spend the majority of their time with their clubs, would any PEDs administered by the national organisation over the last few weeks whilst they had the players be effective already?

This is Russia we're talking about. It'll be systematically managed and administered, with any and all officials bribed or threatened with compliance.

Well it's 2-0 Uruguay already - are the Russians being found out first good team they play, or have they rested players?

Losing a relatively meaningless match makes it look better, perhaps.sendô wrote:Well it's 2-0 Uruguay already - are the Russians being found out first good team they play, or have they rested players?

First one I’ve missed (watched Egypt instead)
uncomfortable about Russia and those first 2 games, their performances were Lance Armstrong-esque

Cavani and Suarez is key for Uruguay, defensively they should be quality,, the midfield isn't star studded but solid enough and if Cavani and Suarez can start firing they will be a tough foe for anyone
