It's been fun having Iceland at the party again, but this will probably be the last we shall see if them for a while

Having held the Argies, Iceland had high hopes until Nigeria melted their dreams.
Could the near impossible happen & Iceland beat Croatia?
If they do & the other game's, a draw...

While Bjarneson means 'son of Bjarn', a little known secondary meaning is 'dogshit at football'.

I can see Croatia going a long way and getting to the Semis...or maybe further?

I will eat many hats if they lose to Denmark, literally can't think of anything more unlikely, then it's only one more game to reach the semis, definitely a chance!!POP POP POP Robson wrote:I can see Croatia going a long way and getting to the Semis...or maybe further?

Iceland were very close tonight. Too many chances not taken especially first half.
Proud to be Icelandic and proud of my team.
Lucky for me being half English too and still having a team to cheer for

They could, but believe me, Uruguay is the team to beat. We all love flair players and goalscorers, they are the ones we all notice and they are the ones who excite us and get us all on the edge of our seats, but it is at the other end of the pitch where competitions are won and they have by far and away, the best defence and defenders too and the best goalkeeper in the whole tournament. For anybody, including England, to win it, they are going to have to beat them. Ooh..... and they haven't conceded a single goal yet and got through their group with 3 straight wins and 9 points

I agree and when you put it like that it does sound obvious they're going to get there but to be fair I was thinking this after their second game where I thought they were awesome.r99c wrote:I will eat many hats if they lose to Denmark, literally can't think of anything more unlikely, then it's only one more game to reach the semis, definitely a chance!!

Said it before, I have had a soft spot for the Croats sine that team & the Boban days.
They certainly look the real deal, arguably the best midfield in the WC as well, if we do not win it I will have no problem in giving my support to them.
