Uruguay’s misfiring strikeforce to cost them. 2-0 Portugal. Both goals from Ronaldo.

Very confident in Uruguay for this one. No mean feat beating the Russians as comfortably as they did and they do have a very, very good team, which have the all-important winning grit and mentality to win games like this. Portugal have been **** so far and fortunate to even be in the last 16.

It really boils down to Ronaldo. He is about the only player at the tournament who can single-handedly drag his team to the final if he's on form.

If he turns up on Saturday, Portugal will win. If he doesn't, they won't.

Picked Uruguay to win it before the tournament started. Sticking with them.
Godin et al will neutralise Ronaldo, and the strength Uruguay have in midfield and attack will destroy the shockingly slow Portuguese at that end of the pitch.

3-0 Uruguay.

Portugal have flattered to deceive and just do not have the quality (Ronaldo aside of course) to break teams down.

I think their race is run. Even if Ronaldo can pull a lightning bolt out of somewhere, Uruguay have enough about them to counter it.

For all their attacking prowess, Uruguay are yet to concede too.

Depends which Ronaldo turns up for this one. If he comes out and delivers one of his virtuoso performances, they've got a chance, but Youaregay have to be the favourites here, even if they've been a bit below par so far.

If I’m still sober enough to take this game in after France piss on Argentina’s parade

I’m hoping Uruguay get through this one , although I can only envisagé this game going down as the worst in this World Cup for diving and feigning injury, sadly you have Europe’s worst and south americas worst play actors and conmen on one pitch

A weak ref will f*** this up royally
