It had nothing to do with sportsmanship. If you watch it again, Cavani was hobbling to the sideline and Ronaldo grabbed him and redirected him to the much nearer goal line. He was just doing a more genteel Mark Noble.

I think their race is run. Even if Ronaldo can pull a lightning bolt out of somewhere, Uruguay have enough about them to counter it.

For all their attacking prowess, Uruguay are yet to concede too.
