The longer that game went on, the more I found myself liking the Danes. Thought they worked extremely hard and made things very difficult for the Croatians, and was particularly impressed by their full-backs, who play for Brentford and Ipswich.
Pity they all took such appalling penalties, though, and the prospect of Russia-Croatia is a more interesting one on paper than Russia-Denmark would have been.
