That doesn't sound easier at all that sounds like a proper graft to me Image

He's not even that big in the photo, just got very low body fat, I mean look at his quads...

He's clearly got a good genetic starting point, but that is a LOT more muscle than he was previously carrying. Let's face it, it's no secret that Spanish teams like their PEDs, along with plenty other nations.

Perhaps it's time we have a long hard think about giving our players some.

I think it may have been you who mentioned Guardiola giving juice to his teams - bans at Brescia I think? And his potential impact on Robben. Apologies if I'm getting mixed up.

There are certainly cases that do make you stop and think.

However, although he's bulked up a bit at Real Madrid he's still pretty gangly really IMO, whoever picked those two photos have obviously picked two extreme examples, and as you alluded to, he's clearly a genetic freak.

But mostly bananas.

TBF, there are about five years between those photos. My body has changed quite a bit in the same period as well.

12 months. He signed in 2013 and that "muscle" shot was summer 2014.

Pretty silly to use Bale images a good 5 years apart to show how he's physically changed. Didn't he go to Madrid when he was 22/23? I think he's now 28. So he's essentially grown into a man and got into peak physical condition. Not exactly unheard of.

12 months apart. One year, not five.
