France were dull!?
WTF are you on about!!
Against Australia boring
Peru pretty boring 1-0
Denmark 0-0
Argentina played on the counter, made the most of Mbappe's pace
Uruguay good perofrmance
Belgium played on the counter again
Croatia played on the counter
France got dominated(by choice pretty much) in every knockout game, as they knew Mbappe and Griezman on the counter, equals happy days.
They were a counter attacking team the majority of the way through, they never let any players off the leash, they've even received that criticism in France, they were drilled and game plan to a tee but it wasn't exciting football by any stretch
Possession
vs Argentina 39%
vs Uruguay 62%
vs Belgium 36%
vs Croatia 34 %
Pretty much soaked up pressure in every game then hit on the counter, hell I think even Peru dominated possession against them
Just googled this, different sources
Counter-attacking France reigns supreme in World Cup of underdogs
Ruthless French counter-attacking, bags of Croatian resolve, flashes of Kylian Mbappe brilliance, scintillating goals, even a VAR penalty: if ever a final reflected the tournament that it concluded then this was surely it.
France are a counter-attacking team at heart
