World Cup 2006 - football

Post by rare as rockinghorse shat »

Seeing as the domestic season is all but over (apart from a couple of important games here and there Wink ) now I feel is the time to start looking forward to the World Cup!!!
This is the topic to post your opinions on teams, players line-ups etc, leading up to and during the tournament!!

Good shout mate.

Very similar to the Euro 04 team. I reckon Miguel, although a natural right back may play left back.
Shame Andrade is struggling. Genuinly decent defender.

Pat me on the back if it makes you happy mate.
What was the point of that thread? Really?

I give a toss and i'll post in this thread 100 times on my own up to the World Cup if I have to.
If you read my post, you would have seen me acknowledge the 2 big games for us.

The World Cup is a month away, well done.
That will come around so quick and is good to know news and views on the squads and such.
And seeing as the World Cup squads are being named tomorrow, makes this thread all the more relevant.

I know at the moment there are bigger thoughts in all West Ham minds and I expect this thread to be swallowed up now and then.

Just don't post if you don't want to mate.

Think you'll find that Simone Perrotta of Roma will get the nod over Gattuso who most Italians think is a village footballer.

No mate, missed the cut off point for registering.
Shaka is in the squad though mate.

Badger, Perotta didn't impress me too much in Euro 2004.

Village footballer was a funny quote mate  made me chuckle.
Thing is what the public say and the coach picks are usually two different things altogether!!
Gattuso is a manager's dream and I think Lippi may well start with him.

Cannot wait to see De Rossi, guy is absolute top drawer.
(Do people recall the incident recently when he owned up to putting the ball in the goal with his hand and it was subsequently disallowed?)

Thanks god we’re in a relatively weak group. With the squad named today I don’t see us getting past the round of 16.
