Has he got the balls to dump Lumplard?

Post by Claretdave »

Lets be honest, Gerrard and Lampard is not working. They both run forward and fail to hold the midfield.

Owen is miles from fitness and needs to be dropped.

The defence should be a back three. I would put Hargreaves in the middle, with Gerrard and Beckham slightly ahead of him. A Cole left and Lennon right. Crouch can start up front alongside Rooney.

Robinson

Carrigher Rio Terry

Lennon Hargreaves A Cole

Beckham Gerrard

Rooney

Crouch.

Any objections??

Looks good, if only Sven would have tried something like this. ****ing cock. The thing is, Beckham is our best player, but also our main weakness, everythiong has to come through him. Like France with Zidane.
Feel sorry for Owen, he can't do anything without any service.

Still **** though, Crouch is not a target man but England play like he is, we may as well have picked Heskey, he's a much better target man than Crouch will ever be.

Three at the back is not a good tactic against a team that plays with winger. Don't try it against the Swedes.

He needs to drop lampard, Play Gerrard in his normal attcking role, and based on who he has there bring Carrick into the holding misfield role.

He also needs to drop Beckham and play Lennon, as he has some energy and pace to bring into the team.

How do you get Owen match fit.

Yep, take him off after 50 minutes 2 games running.

Clueless Swedish ****.

I fell Reo-Coker and Gerrard would have worked together well. We need somebody with some passion and bottle in the midfield

i'm sorry but he had to come off as he was terrible. he doesn't offer any decent movement. he has to be dropped.

Both fowards were piss poor, its a case of the lesser of two evils. Erikksson with his squad choises have given him no options though

id rather do my utmost to get the one potential class goalscorer match fit than leave that lanky streak of nats piss on the pitch.

although i dont rate downing,i thought he did well when he came on
joe cole has played well recently, but every time he got the ball,he went inside to 3 t&t midfielders, making it even more congested
its hard for any team, playing against a team who only want to defend,as we found out in the championship....

Sven took Owen off because then the British media can blame Englands porblems on Owen being crap, not Sven being clueless. I cant think of one time in the second half when the ball was played to Owens feet. Not one.

Is the correct answer.

Like 'Ian Bishop' said, playing three at the back against the Swedes is suicide due to their wingers' pace and power.

Crouch is a donkey, but he's our donkey - as I've said before Sven's the cock for not taking five strikers in the first place. Since we've qualified I think it might be time to give Walcott a run out with Owen or Rooney who still need match fitness. Can't really play both because of those injury concerns.

Lennon for Beckham - agreed, did anyone else think Beckham looked better at right back? (cue in my head 'Signimuppardooo...')

Thank f**k for Terry with that clearance as well.

Something tells me that, if Rooney doesn't sort it, you're right

(just in the wrong tense ... Owen was, Crouch is, that was...)

amen to that.

Owen and Rooney would work (when fit).

Anything involving Crouch won't. We just play CCC high-ball that only works in the CCC, not the world cup.
