Has he got the balls to dump Lumplard?
Lets be honest, Gerrard and Lampard is not working. They both run forward and fail to hold the midfield.
Owen is miles from fitness and needs to be dropped.
The defence should be a back three. I would put Hargreaves in the middle, with Gerrard and Beckham slightly ahead of him. A Cole left and Lennon right. Crouch can start up front alongside Rooney.
Robinson
Carrigher Rio Terry
Lennon Hargreaves A Cole
Beckham Gerrard
Rooney
Crouch.
Any objections??

although i dont rate downing,i thought he did well when he came on
joe cole has played well recently, but every time he got the ball,he went inside to 3 t&t midfielders, making it even more congested
its hard for any team, playing against a team who only want to defend,as we found out in the championship....

Is the correct answer.alf git wrote:Owen is world class............Crouch is a streak of piss
That is all.
Like 'Ian Bishop' said, playing three at the back against the Swedes is suicide due to their wingers' pace and power.
Crouch is a donkey, but he's our donkey - as I've said before Sven's the cock for not taking five strikers in the first place. Since we've qualified I think it might be time to give Walcott a run out with Owen or Rooney who still need match fitness. Can't really play both because of those injury concerns.
Lennon for Beckham - agreed, did anyone else think Beckham looked better at right back? (cue in my head 'Signimuppardooo...')
Thank f**k for Terry with that clearance as well.

amen to that.chalks wrote: id rather do my utmost to get the one potential class goalscorer match fit than leave that lanky streak of nats piss on the pitch.
Owen and Rooney would work (when fit).
Anything involving Crouch won't. We just play CCC high-ball that only works in the CCC, not the world cup.
