No truth in Ferdinand to West Ham rumour




Rumours linking Anton Ferdinand with a return to West Ham United are wide of the mark.
Gossip circulating this morning suggested the defender could make a cut-price move to East London.

Ferdinand has been a regular for the Black Cats after a £9m move to the Stadium of Light.




Former Liverpool and Newcastle striker Michael Owen will have to take a 50% pay cut - to £50,000-a-week - and pass a stringent medical before making a shock move to Manchester United.

Actually, Owen could be offered a basic wage of a paltry £20,000-a-week, with performance-related bonuses taking him close to the £110,000-a-week he earned at Newcastle.

Espanyol fullback Steve Finnan is being linked with a return to England.

Sport says Espanyol are willing to listen to offers for the former Liverpool defender.

how old is he? was great in his day but i think he is one of those players that ages quicker than others because im sure he should only be about 28 but is probably 34

Just checked on that most reliable of sources- the big W- and Finnan is 33. This rumour scares me as much as the one about Stephen Carr last summer.

David Gill's face is amongst the most smug I've ever seen. I remember an interview on SSN where he was talking about Tevez when we was still ours(ish) looking incredibly smug.
