Re: poets day news and gossip 19 jube includes the irons
Hi Steve ,
I scratched the inside of my eye lid while gardening once a few years ago now , then a small lump the size of a small pea appeared - I really thought that nothing could be done about it as it was so close to the eye itself but I went along to AE at our little hospital 8 miles away from where we live on Skye thinking I would have to be sent to a Specialist at Inverness or maybe Glasgow or Aberdeen .
But our lovely old Doctor just froze my eye and cut out the lump watched all the time by a Junior Doctor - I thought ' This is brilliant , - I didn't feel a thing ! ' , but when I got as far as the exit doors the pain hit me like a train - I went straight to the Coop for some painkillers and a bottle of whisky !
Doctors are Brilliant People !!

Pouring whisky in the wound, eh? That's pretty hardcore, TOMOS - have you been watching a load of westerns recently? The Old Man of Storr wrote:when I got as far as the exit doors the pain hit me like a train - I went straight to the Coop for ... a bottle of whisky !

Thanks ch.
That photo of Nobes reading the paper would be great photoshopped to ch's gossip.
Sadly,I'm completely useless in that department.
There's a challenge here, boys.
