Bit late to the party today, laid up with man flu! Have to say I know it's silly season but there really are some exciting players getting linked to us, glad Poyet is getting some game time too, and it appears as if we have at least two really good academy players coming through after such a long wait.
Could this be the start of great things?
Hope you're feeling better CH, God bless and thanks as ever for the round up!

Re: Sunday Express - Andy Carroll
Andy Carroll simply isnt Bilic's problem.
Bilic presumably took the job in the knowledge that he couldn't expect AC to be available in the earliest stages of the season. He would also have been able to readily check how many appearances he was able to make over the last two seasons.
Andy Carroll is the club's problem, if problem is the right word. If the report of £90,000 p/w is accurate, they will be tearing out their hair at paying that for another 4 seasons, unless of course he shrugs off the injuries and has a long period of sustained availability and importance to the first 11.
He is simply too much of an investment for it to work any other way.

You thought he would be?Kialos wrote:Leaving aside the headline, it is a concern that he apparently wont be fit for the start of the season isn't it?
If you did, then I have great investment opportunity for you....
