Didn't take the daves long to mention FFP again, you never hear any of the top 4 clubs mention it when they are paying their top earners over 200k a week

FFP is a farce anyway and needs scrapping and a new system to make things fairer dreamed up.Tristan Shout wrote:Didn't take the daves long to mention FFP again, you never hear any of the top 4 clubs mention it when they are paying their top earners over 200k a week

Thanks Jarvo
Accounts will make interesting reading
Can't see where they get £40m from.....and wonder how much of the £10-£17m loss is driven by payments for the OS work or the upfront payment of Nooan's wages as an exit fee

I don't pretend to know all the ' ins and outs ' of FFP - however the Daves inherited a debt of £100m and it doesn't seem to have got any smaller - we all know from experience how difficult it is trying to live and clear an overdraft at the same time , so in a way I can sympathise when I hear our Owners referring to FFP yet again .bullyhammer wrote:

Leeds and Portsmouth nearly went under spending money they didn't have , there must be this huge temptation to keep fans happy , keep up with the Jones's of the Premier League , trying to bring back past glories etc - maybe FFP is a farce , maybe there is a better system out there but I suppose it's better than disappearing off the face of the Earth through financial mismanagement .

Financial Fair Play should be renamed - nowt to do with fair play as it has a side effect of locking in an existing order
It's much more about solvency and good balance sheet management than fair play. A finance directors dream.
