Just come across the phrase 'Morton's Fork' which apparently means a choice between two equally unpleasant alternatives.
In some ways this describes our dilemna viz the Olympic Stadium.
Although I don't want to move there, the worst outcome would be for Sp*rs to move there.
So, in some ways, was it an act of genius Machiaevellian Gullivans to behind-the-scenes get Sp*rs interested in the site - or fluke?
Anyway, I'm struggling to find a word or phrase which describes our situation - as we are now seemingly accepting one bad alternative to avoid an even worse alternative - but it's arriving at a choice, an option, an outcome that we wouldn't have wanted in the first place.
So, it's a bit of an Hobson's Choice - i.e. no real choice at all - but it's not that syndrome either.
Any suggestions for a word or term describing the dilemna we face?

But literally 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious' means "Atoning for educability through delicate beauty".
Yet our situation seems the opposite of this. Could saying it backwards like Mary Poppins did in the film - 'dociousaliexpilisticfragicalirupus' - be more appropriate?

Morton's Fork is similar to Hobson's Choice.
For me, the OS result was a Phyrric victory.

Seems like getting Spurs involved in the bidding process might have been a cunning idea by the OPLC to give West Ham less bargaining power and to also get more West Ham fans behind the idea of a move.
