Re: Sp*rs are taking legal actionyou need a running track!
you need a running track! you need a running track! you need a running track!!!
Re: Sp*rs are taking legal action
with our legal team we should lose pretty quick
Re: Sp*rs are taking legal action
They're trying to take the OPLC to task, not us.
Re: Sp*rs are taking legal actionDecision was 14 votes to 0 it is in Newham and they were going to knock it down..... how can they argue with the decision??
Re: Sp*rs are taking legal action****ing hell, what bad losers they are!
on what grounds are they doing this?
Re: Sp*rs are taking legal actionDont really see how they have a leg to stand on
Re: Sp*rs are taking legal actionSurprising. The OPLC knew all along that whatever they decided judicial review of it would be probable, surely they made a watertight case for themselves as they went along. The only irregularity that I'm aware of was the leak of the decision, but that would need some good proof that it was a bona fide leak as with only two contenders it was a 50:50 guess at worst......
Re: Sp*rs are taking legal action
I believe that there are 2 legal precedents for doing this: 1). "It's not fair" Little Joseph Greenberg V Tottenham nursery school. Infamous "I want to go on the slide" case 2) "Everybody listen to me. I'm important" Spurs fans everywhere, defacto standard response Last edited by yonni on Wed Mar 30, 2011 1:48 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: Sp*rs are taking legal actionHopefully they will win on the basis of running tracks and football stadiums do not mix .
The OPLC then still give us the stadium , infrastructure and permission to redevlop it as we please . That might put our owners on the spot .
Re: Sp*rs are taking legal action
From the news article "Judicial reviews allow bodies to challenge decisions on grounds of illegality, irrationality and unfairness" Seems like they are doomed to fail to me!!!
Re: Sp*rs are taking legal actionOld Levy see's it as possibly unfair as they decided from the off that it was going to be a football only venue, which he believes is the only viable way to sustain the stadium. Also his plan is totally flawed as before the decision was announced Crystal Palace decided they wanted Crystal Palace back so how can he rebuild Crystal Palace? if it's been agreed (need to check on that) that Crystal Palace FC will move there?
This is totally seperate from the Orient claims. So far neither of them have any proof of what they're claiming and have possibly shot themselves in the foot by being happy to have Spurs there over us.
Re: Sp*rs are taking legal actionIf they really want to move to the east end that badly flog 'em the Boleyn Ground.
I know where there's one going cheap.
