Asking for a review of the Olympic committees decision is one thing but asking for details of a particular aspect of someone else's bid is down right rude. The decision was made by the Olympic committee based on the best bid that fulfilled their criteria and, if I'm not mistaken, ratified by the Mayors office and the Government. What the f*** has it got to do with them what deal we have with Newham? We've always had a strong relationship with our Borough who by and large have been very accommodating to us. Maybe they're jealous they haven't got the same relationship with theirs. Either way it'll be money down the drain for them so let the ****ers carry on.

Hopefully the High Court will f*** them off in the same way the Olympic Park committee, The Mayors office, and Central Government have. Just a shame they can't completely ignore them in the same way Newham Council have.

Is there no limit to the extent in which those North London shisters will embarrass and debase themselves. I always knew they had no class but this goes beyond the pale.

It is funny watching them make prize arseholes of themselves .

Personally I think our owners should seek a judicail review of the fit and proper persons test on club ownership and make sure owners have to pay tax in the UK .

I mean , if Gold and Sullivan were like Fiszman , Kronke, Lewis, Glazer, Abramovich, Mansour etc etc then they wouldn't need to borrow money from Newham council they could just use the cash they hadn't paid in tax over the years .

They should hold fire until after the end of the season. If we go down then all of the aforementioned might be looking for a good get out of jail free card....this could be it.

In a statement, Tottenham said: "The club has today sought permission from the High Court to bring a claim against the London Borough of Newham ("Newham") for judicial review of Newham's process in providing a loan for the conversion of the Olympic Stadium after the 2012 Games.

"The club wrote to Newham asking it to explain its reasons and justification for its decision, but Newham has declined to respond to this request for information.

"Due to the time limits which apply to claims for judicial review, the club has had no alternative but to issue these proceedings in order to protect its position.

"The club continues to hold discussions with both local and national government bodies in order to seek to agree a feasible stadium solution."
I think that last sentence says it all, a bit of blackmail methinks!

What spurs never seem to get is the loan is for a joint company to run the stadium, both West Ham and Newham Council have a say in it. Hackney would have no say in their new stadium or Newham if it was in Stratford, all profits would be solely theirs.
Also it is a loan that has to be paid back not a gift. As was just mentioned by BSB 1, I think they are jealous of our relationship with our council compared with theirs! F.O.Y.S. :raver:

I am sorry to hear that , but in fairness my post was a reflection on his tax planning - of which the deal with Kronke was done at the last minute to avoid paying death duties etc .

The tax charge on the capital gain he has made on his shares in Arsenal would be far far higher than the loan West are getting from Newham .

You know what? f*** 'em. Let them have it. I would guess there are far more of their fans that will refuse to go there than their are ours. They are going to spunk bucket loads on this conversion, never qualify for the CL again, despite spending 100's of millions on players, do a Leeds, cos they are strapped up to the ear-holes, and end up playing to 30,000 in a 60,000 seater stadium in ten years, while we are playing Barca in the CL quarters at The Boleyn with it's spanking new East Stand. Or rather, 'The Avram Grant Stand', after our late manager who won the FA and League Cup and qualified for the CL in the same year, then rather tragically taken from us by a cracked up mossad agent, who is a spurs fan.
