The idea that this athletics stadium can be made fit even for Championship football is laughable.

Buying athletics out Post 2017 may be an option, but redevelopment is the only answer to creating a football ground. Who is going to pay for that?

The board are crackers imho.

Bunch of morons if you ask me.

Because Tottenham, despite their many scummy qualities, have a board who know a bit about business. They saw an opportunity for leverage and took it superbly.

They leveraged it into millions of public money for their own, 100% owned football specific arena in their own backyard and ensured that when their rivals on and off the pitch move into their far too big and poorly equipped for football stadium they won't even own it, just rent the thing.

They are laughing their arses off.

You'll either be miles away or sat on some kind of Meccano stand on wheels. Its going to happen but it'll be a bloody sad day when we leave the Boleyn for this White Elephant :thdn: .

Well we know how big the stadium is, that won't change.
The upper tier will stay in exactly the same position it is in now, so that won't change
Temp seating over the track, possibly just behind the goal and single tier,
If they put it over the side it will still have to go back to meet the top tier so the rake will be shallower.
If like me you like to view your Football from higher up, the front of the upper tier at the OS is if laid over the Boleyn in the forecourt behind the west stand or in the flats behind if you sit in the east.

Going to be lots of people doing the same CH me and my family included, just going to be away games when it does happen,my old man is to frail to walk any kind of distance these day and I don't think we will be able to drive to the door of the OS, even if we can I can just about take sitting in a front row when we are 10 yards from the pitch but times that by four or five and the view will be intolerable, real shame and will be absolutely gutted but I'm not going to be treated like a mug sitting in a meccano stadium because to old ***** think that for the sake of a possible few extra £s in their pockets they can walk over the majority of their customers wishes

The upper tier is temporary, as are the roof and floodlights. The lower tier and track are the fixed bits.

We've gone over this permanent, temporary thing so many times. The fact of the matter is that even the permanent section can be modified as its just a hollow structure beneath the lower tier seating.

The upper tiers could be modified as they are effectively built from macanno.

The bottom line is the cost and who foots the bill.

With you CH. Probably go more away games, but would miss the BG so much. Football should be played at a football stadium, not an athletics stadium. Retractable seating my arse!

Dads as well Pop. He has been going BG for over 64 years. How can they do this to us? West Ham is my life, and I am sure you feel the same. When I think of the plastic day trippers who would visit that monsrosity when we play, just to visit the Olympic Stadium turrns my stomach, whilst the true fans with claret and blue in thier blood who feel so angry about this, are left frustrated as that bloody gruesome three take away everyhting that has been a major part of our lives over the years. I for one will never forgive them for what they intend to do to our club
