Apologies if this has been put up already sometime in the past 2 years, but I have been pointed to Ellerby Beckett's report for the Govt when Wembley was being planned.

It's too late now and all that, but it makes for some interesting reading. Who says lightning doesn't strike the same place twice?

'...while WNSL have successfully addressed many of the concerns highlighted by Ellerbe Becket, it is widely accepted that the proposed stadium is not the ideal for athletics. There is general agreement therefore that ... Wembley should be the focus of a world class stadium for football and rugby league and that alternative arrangements should be made for athletics. The separation of athletics from football and rugby league will ensure that the stadium needs of each sport are not compromised, the supporters of each sport are given certainty for the future of their national stadium and resources can be focused on securing the best possible venue for each sport...'
