No, he is quite right, I shouldn't mock. Debries from missiles are a terrible thing, but a jumbo jet being crash-landed on the Olympic Park is perfectly acceptable. Though I suppose as it's Newham that would cop it, you wouldn't want the shrapnel landing in Tower Hamlets now, would you.

So come on then Einstein, what do you propose to use to knock a plane out of the sky, if a surface to air missile, designed to do that job funnily enough, isn't suitable instead?

I live there... the army, MOD and Police have disappeared now - they'll be doing a report based on the tests last week and we've then got to wait for the politicians to decide. Most residents don't seem too fussed - main grumble is that the Property Management Company haven't done any consultation - at least the police, army and MoD have been here to answer questions / concerns twice.

I'll offer 2/1 on that pikeys will nick at least one missile machine. :wink:

Anyway, 24/7 armed Police presence should keep them away.
