I think this deserves a thread of its own. Here's a link to the missive in question:

so according to the Devil With Tits we have half a million fans living in East London and the surrounding area and yet we couldn't fill our ground last season even with mega deals, do me a favour

"an intrinsic part of our Brand Identity - Moore than just a football club".
Jesus, turn it you soft mare! West Ham never wanted to know Bobby from 1974 to his untimely death, now their using his name for everything from bids for new stadiums to crappy merchandise in the club shop. Just. Stop. It.

"our locally mentored coaches already teach 17 of 26 Olympic Sports"
Eh? Is she saying we spend money teaching people to play archery or judo or have I read it wrong? If we are doing that, can anyone explain why?

"the Premiership is watched by 4.7bn people globally, meaning West Ham would bring continued interest to the Park and surrounding area"
Good point Karen! Whenever I meet a foreign Premiership fan they always mention the great interest they take in the areas immediately around mid-table teams stadiums. Everytime I've meet a Spaniard or an Italian they wax lyrical about the fabulous Robin Park Retail Estate, home of Wigan Athletic.

I know our club didn't do well by Bobby but we did have different owners then, we don't know how the 2 Davids would have treated him.
He was our most Famous player.

I know he was our most famous player which is one of the reasons we should stop using the "moore than just" strap-line on everything. To me, it was done once (at the Palace playoff final 2004) and should have been left there. The club are flogging a dead horse with this. Sorry but I think its muggy.

Karren is clearly quite passionate about this subject, and why wouldn't she be ? For her, personally, it is a defining moment : succeed in securing it, and it's on her CV forever , fail , and , well, having made it the only objective of her tenure as Vice Chair , it would be a catastrophe . For her .

That's where I have the problem . I'm not convinced the move is in the best interests of WHUFC , and it certainly isn't in my best interests as a fan .I've asked Karren, directly , what additional revenue the stadium is projected to bring beyond one off naming rights , and specifically how much of that additional revenue ( if, indeed it is additional) , will filter through to the playing squad budget .

Karren despite saying she had worked the numbers out, declined to answer .She may have judged I , as a customer , had no entitlement to such information, and in fairness she could be right in that respect .I do have no entitlement , but frequently in the workplace, I share with other stakeholders key pieces of information in order to bring them on the journey with me, to which they have no entitlement .It's about treating others with respect, and trusting them not to abuse your inclusivity .

That's not Karrens style however .Having met and spoken with a number oif club executives it would appear her leadership style is at best described as autocratic - "my way or the highbury" ,sorry I mean "highway" , but I couldn't resist the Arsenal reference , given her support of that team . Karren may care to reflect upon the experience of her football team and how they have got on since relocating a short distance .They have moved into a new stadium which truly is state of the art , and , crucially, purpose built for football : their Manager was involved in crucial design aspects to ensure the playing surface was not compromised , mainly because he knew that Arsenal FC was a football club . That it's Raison d'etre is to play football competitively , and try and win some silverware .
Moore than a football club ? Arsene knows the truth , and Karren would do well to listen to him , and to voices such as the Arsenal independent supporters trust who are questionning the validity of their current business model .Their fans are seriously annoyed at paying the highest prices for football in the world and seeing top players leave season after season .

Has Karren thought this through ? Her own team, in a 60k stadium , purpose built for football, and the paying fan already disgruntled , not only is 1980 not on their boards but neither is 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 .Never mind being Moore than a football club it's closer to being no Moore heroes anymore .

Assets on the pitch .That's what football fans get excited about .All the bricks and mortar in the world are meaningless if a team is uncompetitive , because that , after all, is the whole point of a football club , it's why they exist , so come on Karren, despite us not being entitled to know, tell us how much more money will filter through to the playing staff budget than now .

Will it be Moore, or less ?

PP you should be Prime Minister. Bravo! I feel you speak for so many of us. I myself am one of those who doesn't post on this forum much due to the arrogance and be-littling attitude of some of the pro stadium posters. Your posts speak volumes and I really enjoy reading them.
