My guess is that the plans and announcements will be revealed during the summer break when the media spotlight and any opposition will be at its lowest. The Board will blame everybody else for the timing except themselves. Not that I know what Im talking about... just a hunch.the pink palermo wrote:Still no plans .
Still nothing of substance being shared with the fans .
So, G&S, what are these exciting stadium plans of yours?

I can't see how Brady could have signed up to anything without, as she claimed in her column, any lawyers present. Tho a part of me hopes she has!

Be funny if the plans ARE denied planning permission. We live in hope.mywhufc wrote: SAB hat on,,,,, NO
SAB hat off ,,,, my guess is middle to end of feb at the earliest depending on when they go for planning permission.

We'll know before the end of the month.
England Rugby have said that they won't consider using the OS for ER2015
unless all 4 stands come in to nearer the pitch.
ER 2015 is naming the selected stadia on 5 March.
If the OS isn't on that list, there will be hell to pay.
BoJo really wants it and embarrassingly, Japan has already named its venues for 2019.

One of the most important decisions made about the future of the club a mountain out of a molehill? Don't talk rubbishThe Rebirth wrote:Patience is a virtue.
Don't let that stop some people making a mountain out of a molehill, like they have done throughout the whole saga.

I don't thnk the media spotlight is ever at a low point when it comes to our club. They just love to put the boot in at each and every opportunity.Hammer Smith wrote: My guess is that the plans and announcements will be revealed during the summer break when the media spotlight and any opposition will be at its lowest. Yes but without the lightning rod of a match to congregate large numbers of fans, announcing things in the summer would be a far better time to 'bury bad news'.Mr_Andersonn wrote: I don't thnk the media spotlight is ever at a low point when it comes to our club. That could be amusing to some but seriously, on what grounds would planning permission be turned down. I can't think of one single reason myself.westham, eggyandchips wrote: Be funny if the plans ARE denied planning permission. We live in hope.

Barry Hearn giving the correct handshake to members of the planning commitee might workMr_Andersonn wrote: That could be amusing to some but seriously, on what grounds would planning permission be turned down. I can't think of one single reason myself.

Not long according to this fella, nothing on Newham or LLDC planning portals yet
ExWHUemployee @ExWHUemployee
Permission being granted by Newham council. It is on the committees next agenda I've been told. Capacity for the stadium is around 49000

If 49k is right:
19k downstairs
30k upstairs
25k upstairs closed off

Hugh Southon was saying last night from a talk with David Gold (he has his ear for any doubters)
Hugh Southon @hughsouthon
DG: "I believe we are close to the end of negotiations on OS...some of the toughest talks I've ever been involved in."

49,000 now?
If it carries on getting smaller, the redeveloped Boleyn will have a bigger capacity.

The main point here is the seats are just likely to be cordoned or screened off in the upper tiers.Denbighammer wrote:49,000 now?

They are unlikely to be taken away which means they can be utilised for other events, and no doubt even in football mode if so required.

At least we can look forward to the incredibly witty "Your ground's too big for you" at every home game.
