Re: Away Fans @ the OS
I'll be the first to put my hand up and say I voted for the move. But this is just taking the p**s out of us. I can take the view restrictions, knew what I was letting myself in for there but 8,000 away fans? Are they sure the police are gonna be happy with that?
I'm actually quite speechless

Re: Away Fans @ the OS
Over a year ago the plans were submitted that showed away allocation of between 5% (2700) and 15% (8100). The latter is likely only for cup games.
Far more important is the 40% hike in season ticket prices.

This was and always has been one of my main gripes with the move.
8000 away fans. Any idea where they are sitting? Bet it's not upper tier at the back or anything like that.

That remains to be seen...gavrosh wrote:Over a year ago the plans were submitted that showed away allocation of between 5% (2700) and 15% (8100). The latter is likely only for cup games.
If they can guarantee 8000 away fans they'll take it...

Mancs, Scousers, Arse, Chelsea, Spurs will all take 8 no problem.
Newcastle/Sunderland won't be far off that either.
Going to be a lot of club's new favourite away day. One big beano.

Will be like the new Wigan away, cheap tickets and a f*** off allocation.

Re: Away Fans @ the OS
8k.
Where's this figure come from exactly? Do arsenal give 10% of the Emirates to the away section? 6k? Of course they don't!
Would be surprised to see this personally, but as posters have said, the big clubs will take the lot I'd imagine. Don't see Newcastle/Sunderland taking that many to be honest though.

As said earlier it's in the planning documents, has been for a while.LincolnshireHammer wrote:8k.

Was confirmed at the Bondholders meeting the other night...
People are assuming that's only the cup allocation but they haven't said anything about the league allocation which is strange...
What have Arsenal got to do with it though? They can guarantee they will sell out seats to their own punters so don't need to offer anymore to away supports.
I think we'll go down the Wigan route personally...
Re: Away Fans @ the OS
We have to offer minimum 3000 for league games and 15% (about 8000) for cup games.
Generally it will be the bigger games where the away club could potentially bring a large number of fans but surely these will easily sell out to our own fans so we won't need to offer more than 3000.

Man United and Liverpool will be the only ones who will sell 8,000.
Chelsea and Arsenal around 6,000.
Spurs around 5,000.
Newcastle/Everton will be the only other side who may have the potential to sell more than 3,000 for a standard league game.

No chance, they'd sell whatever you gave them.Knighter10WHU wrote:Chelsea and Arsenal around 6,000.

These sort of teams sell out 3,000 at places like Newcastle midweek...
They could easily draw in 10,000+ for a piss take over at our's any day...
Villa and Man City are more than capable of taking 3,000+ to our's as well, especially with cheap tickets.

Re: Away Fans @ the OS
Chelsea/Arsenal I could see the case for (maybe), but Tottenham have struggled to sell out their 3,000 at UP the last 2 occasions they visited. Unless ticket prices were to decrease significantly, I don't see them being able to shift 8,000 at the OS, same as we wouldn't shift 8,000 at WHL unless ticket prices were about £20.NorthBankAlliance wrote:

Agree Man City/Aston Villa could potentially with cheaper tickets.

Re: Away Fans @ the OS
We'd do 8000 at Tottenham given the chance.
It would be one of those games where everyone is out for...
Done 4500 on priority points in the cup last season without touching members, general sale etc...

Re: Away Fans @ the OS
Sell out (r there abuts) away tickets first season then a big decrease in away fans.
Novelty factor worn off and the reality of viewing difficulties bite.

Re: Away Fans @ the OS
Sorry, did not see the plans. Had not read through the entire thread, so my apologies.
Seeing 8k away fans will just be pure torture.
Every week will be take the piss out of West Ham week.
Unless we seriously drop our prices (which we won't) then the OS is going to look like the DW as one poster has already mentioned.
Conversely, these opposition fans probably won't return when they realise they can see bugger all from their seats.

Online
8000 is the requirement for FA Cup games
Premiership games require 10% of capacity or 3000 whichever is the highest.
