Cheers CH! Evident in that piece how passionate Gold is about the move.
Yet 2 years down the line and the support still hasn't been shown any concrete plans from the club, work that one out...

That rendition of bubbles is pretty much how I anticipate it might be when we have a stadium with thousands of neutrals in it ...

Strange that... because my last game at the Boleyn (vs Crystal Palace) was just like watching a game in a stadium with thousands of neutrals in it.

That's what happens when you charge £50+ for a game versus Palace...

Quite incredible how the old ground has evolved

In general most things the club has done over the years has been quite rubbish - however I think the development of the west stand (apart from the tacky towers) was quite brilliant

Such a shame the club never completed the full project as per the top picture - I think a 40,000 BG with all corners enclose would have been awesome and even less people would be interested in a move to the bowl

Indeed - it could have been done but did suit our current owners' agenda.

The police wouldn't let it happen

If they'd have been a proper poll of attending supporters as to the fully developed 40k BG or the OS, the former would have won hands down.

There would indeed.

And the club claimed they couldn't get planning permission - despite there having been outline permission for some time that had only recently lapsed.

Didn't something happen with planning law saying that building the East stand too high would cut out light to the blocks of flats and other housing behind, making it unacceptable even though previously it would have been built if we pulled our fingers out after the Bobby went up ?
