Marketing Suite at Westfield

Post by hammers1954 »

I tend to check the LLDC planning website regularly to see if anything has been submitted that effects the stadium. I did so today and came across this

http://planningregister.londonlegacy.co ... ts%3C/a%3E" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

an application granted for a marketing suite at Westfield. It seems attendance is by invitation only, albeit one of the groups to be invited will be those who wish to buy 'general admission packages" which,I assume, could include season ticket holders who want to select their seat. As you will see there will also be 'stadium seating'.

It's starting to get very real!!

From looking at the documents the location of the suite will be in a very similar unit to the shop WHU once had at Westfield’s (close to the lift entrance to Aspers Casino). The document at the link http://planningregister.londonlegacy.co ... -75874.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is the most interesting as it shows the planned layout and intention of the unit. First page shows there will be a presentation room with mock ups of stadium seats and assuming the projection will be from “your seat” in the stadium onto the screen in front that you intend to purchase. The board room with its plasma screen could very well be for group presentations of the clubs ideas/strategy’s for the stadium which then leads you to a consultation with a sales rep in the consultation area.

There is space for “coat and bag storage”. Is this another NDA like situation where you wont be able to take your belongings with you and you will need to sign something? Or is it all paranoia and its just a cloak room? Upstairs is a temporary office level which from the looks of the drawings wont be visible to those on the ground floor due to the location of the stairs and a storage unit room.

Interesting thing as well, the three pages are numbered 8, 9 and 10 in the top right and have general WHU branding in the bottom right and not much else beyond the central content so this information has to have been extracted from a bigger document with further pages.

Edit - From reading http://planningregister.londonlegacy.co ... -76577.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; it makes it clear more then once that no actual sales will be handled by the suite. Sounds like it will just take peoples pledges to purchase sets and then that information will be fed back to offices at the Boleyn Ground/elsewhere. The unit will close on the 1st August 2016 and the application was approved on the 25th July.

Sanchoz,

I might be wrong but I read the no 'sales' condition as not selling any physical items, i.e. merchandise etc. With the facilities we have both picked on you could see and pick a seat/hospitality package and then sign up there and then.

You could very well be right. Expect the club sometime next year to start inviting people/groups in after last season at the Boleyn renewal period

Not long until it opens, corporate seats first before the rest at the end of the season.

Choose you seats by virtue of virtual venue

http://yankees.io-media.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Club London, corporate tickets on sale soon.
