Nice. A few of the Italian clubs have been loading to smaller British style stadiums.

They would rather have smaller full stadiums than big empty ones.

The problem they all have is dealing with corrupt councils and government officials.

Roma were doing one too in the style of a coliseum. That has been held up for a while now though.

Looks Good. Juve moved into a proper football stadium after playing in a big bowl and are very happy with it.

You cant beat a proper football stadium....

Only £240 million......?

Theyre so enamoured with the English style, theyve even adopted the language.

Yes I heard that they were interested in signing Ben Hur but were quibbling over his fitness record. Bit over the hill if you ask me.

How the hell does that compare with the San Siro. Its totally anaemic and smaller by comparison. Is this simply so they don't have to share?

I have no idea why anyone gives a **** what the stadium looks like, we should be talking about catering facilities and the "wrap".

I think it looks brilliant. A stadium built for football.

surprised by the size of the place

the Italians are fickle and as Milan are crap at the moment, attendances are down, but a bit of success / champions league football, they can hit 60-70k easily...

Juventus lowered their capacity because their old stadium delle alpi was known as a soulless stadium due to the poor visibility it had with their running track that was never used. They went from a 70k stadia to the current 44k Juventus stadium, where the atmosphere has been top notch.

Difference is gep, juve never got the crowds at that stadium, they averaged 20-30k

Ac Milan average 40-50k at the moment purely because they are ****, a bit of success and that goes over 60k

Seems short sighted to reduce capacity by that much just because then club is going through a patch where the crowds are small

I get what you're saying. My point being that they used to say the Juve fans would rather watch the games at home than at the delle alpi because of the viewing distance. Fickle I know because when Real Madrid came to town you'd struggle to get a ticket.

What ever Milan's excuse is their problem. As I'm a Juve fan being a Britalian myself

Probably don't earn much revenue from the San Siro or own it. The facilities inside are pretty basic and dated. No corporate money or much of it anyway. Juventus now rake it in due to the new stadium.
