Olympic Stadium unofficial computer model
Chaps, I've put this on the OS forum but thought it might be of interest to those that rarely visit it. I found a chap on twitter who was working on a computer model of the stadium and he's got to the point where it gives a good idea as to views from the sort of seats that most of us plebs will be in, and which havent of course been released by the club. So, take a look:

Another one. If anyone wants a particular view let me know and I can pass on the request.

I'd like to see views from the presumed worst seats in the OS, back row Upper Tier behind the goal stretching back to those seats that won't be sold due to UEFA regulations and will be cordoned off accordingly plus back row Upper Tier behind the dugouts/midfield.
Basically the seats that are furthest away from the pitch. And no fish lens view please. Cheers!

I still find it irritating that the club hasn't released any decent pictures of the stadium - particularly as we have been asked to cough up a sizeable deposit for the first season in a few months
If you go on the Man City website the video of their current stadium redevelopment is outstanding
The pictures above are a useful indication but no more. The last picture above doesn't look like the new east or west stand - it can't be the west stand as their are no corporate boxes and it doesn't look like the east stand as I understand the demountable seating at the back of the lower tier should mean there is no gap between upper and lower

Its a work in progress and will improve but the important thing is the view and in that regard I've been pleasantly surprised. Hopefully well soon see some more official renders leaked now the bondholders will be invited to Stratford.

Trying to post the pic I have from the club of where I will be sitting. Behind the dugout.
No running track at all in this pic.

That's because it'll be covered with astroturf. Its still there, though.

Of course it will be there somewhere. The picture you posted does not even have the tunnel / dugouts etc.
I know it is only a estimate etc and not 100% accurate but looks a lot better with no running track in view.

Pretty similar yeah. Looks a lot better I think you will agree?
Re: Olympic Stadium unofficial computer model
Well yeah, its a complete model.
Actually I think i prefer the view from a bit further back, toward one of the corners.

That was my original point though. People shouldnt worry too much about those pics with the running track as it "should" look a lot better according to the official models. I was actually very impressed with the views.
Yeah we are sitting a bit further back and in a tad. We had a look at a lot of different views when we were at the reservation centre and I honestly thought the views were great.

The view from the top of the end upper tier (ie the dead zone). Not bad.

As I posted on Skyscrapercity, these renders are great but how accurate are they in terms of scale?
Look at that lower tier, surely there are more than 19,000 seats there?
The scaling of the lower tier in comparison to the upper tier doesn't look right to me and the rake of the stands in the lower tier also look too steep in comparison to the old lower tier in the OS.
Maybe I am being picky but as we have someone prepared to generate these images for us now, lets try to get them as accurate as possible.
