West ham will be selling off the seats
David Gold has tweeted that west ham will be selling off the seats when they leave up
Looking forward to prices and hope he means to season ticket holders- not some other club/ground

They should of been included with your season ticket this year. This is just going to cause problems.

Re: West ham will be selling off the seats
I'm struggling to see why I'd actually want mine. Hardly sat on the poxy thing in my 20 years or so of having the seat. Plus what would I do with it at home?
I'm not suprised the club are selling them off. I'm expecting them to try & flog everything. I'm half tempted to stay in the ground in the hope I'll get sold off to a decent home in a warmer climate.
The decent thing would be to donate the seats to non-league clubs if they want them. But the money they make comes first for our lot

Poor that they aren't giving long-term season ticket holders the seat for free, after all it's your seat technically anyway isn't it?
Although I'm sure most wont give the club the option and I don't blame you to be honest!

Re: West ham will be selling off the seats
My mate's got a proper West Ham bar in his back garden, with plenty of Irons memorabilia....his seat, mine and no doubt a couple of others will be finding a home away from home in there.

Does anyone actually have any idea how to get them off in one piece?
Beats the hell out of a garden bench.

Man City sold off seats for a tenner each when they left Maine Road. The money went to their community fund. But I'm told that plenty of people turned up with screw drivers and removed their seats at the last game.

Re: West ham will be selling off the seats
I'm with Rio... I'm not going to bother as I don't know what i'd do with it.
Ultimately won't it just be a cheap bit of plastic?
A couple of years ago the Missus acquired a seat from Leyton Orient (not sure why), but it was basically just 2 bits of unattached plastic so it got binned.
I guess cleverer people than me can buy a few and set up a seating area on the side in the back garden, but it's not for me...

Re: West ham will be selling off the seats
A mate of mine whom is a Saints fan has his and his wife's seats from the Dell in his back garden, apparently he likes to sit there in the summer and relax. In my experience the seats aren't comfortable enough to sit on for long so I'm not sure if I will bother. The same mate bought a urinal when Saints sold off the bits of the ground and used it to hold flowers in his garden, each to his own I suppose.
I did know a guy who bought one of the benches, with plastic cover, from the Dell as I recall he built a games room in his basement and put it in there (or something similar).

When I got one from the old West Stand they sent the hinges so works well.

The only thing I can remotely and feasibly really want, I would never be able to afford and there'd be too much demand for.
