Both of the above are summarisers Lincs.

Ed Smith has done a good job of commentating on TMS for a while now, so its in good hands.

I think, and really hope, that he'll get the extra 64 needed

I hope we have a 5 seamer attacker in Australia. Hopefully keep Anderson fresh, he will be so important.

If fit, what would everyone's 11 be for Australia?

Cook
Stoneman
Root
Bairstow (wk)
Hales
Stokes
Ali
Woakes
Broad
Wood
Anderson

I think Root has to step up to 3 for the sake of the team. Wood's pace will be handy out there but I'd replace him if we need an extra batsman, preferably with Malan.

Stoneman got 131 for Surrey today, hopefully he can build on that and come into the ashes in good form

Stoneman
Root
Malan
Bairstow
Stokes
Ali
Woakes
Roland-Jones
Broad
Anderson

Root has to come in at 3 for me.

The rest of the squad:-

Wood
Ball
Westley
Buttler
Robson

I wouldn't have Alex Hales anywhere near this squad after he bottled the tour to Bangladesh. Thats unforgivable IMO.

Agree all that Eggy, except Wood for Rowllaaannnd, pitches there are usually quick and have bounce, Woods's extra pace just gives him the edge for me.

True. But Woods' fitness is a real worry.

Wood's fitness will be a big issue I know. I like Hales, struggled to open but quite like the idea of him at 4

5 seamers plus Ali is a must for me, need to keep Anderson fresh for the spells that we need him to bowl

Motty & Blowers gone from commentary box by the end of next year.

Blowers will be missed big time. One of the last real characters. Motson however, I cannot wait for him to be gone. Can't stand him.

A good old fashioned England collapse. Morgan's last 7 scores have an average of about 2, highest is 5.

It is rather lovely seeing Chris Gayle smoking sixes in an ODI again. Shame Root dropped him in the first over but best to get all the rubbish catching out the way before the Ashes...

Bairstow proving yet again what an utter disgrace it was to ever leave him out in the first place. Our selectors are clueless.

Should be 2nd name on the ODI team-sheet after Root..

I know we won, but why do we keep giving the final over to Stokes against this lot? Its like a personal battle every time we play the W.Indies

Even Jimmy Anderson in commentary said he's over doing it.

He is a joy to watch, he is a beast in that mode, I found myself rather happy Root dropped him strangely!

Bairstow proving yet again, that he is a top cricketer, getting away from his skill set, I enjoy watching him play, he reminds me of a young lad on the park just enjoying his sport.

It's the classic WG Grace line, I'm not out they've come to watch me bat not you bowl. Exactly the same with Gayle. I'd rather watch him smash England all over than nick him off early
