Re: Boxing thread
There's a myth that Khan has a glass jaw. Three knockout defeats, two where, both times, he got up and tried to carry on, and one where he was knocked out cold by an opponent probably about a stone and a half heavier than him on the night, a guy who was probably taking performance enhancing drugs. That's not a glass jaw,, that's not a glass jaw at all.

Sooner rather than later in combat sports every top class fighter is going to be presumed to be up to their eyeballs on PEDs

Re: Boxing thread
I think the most surprising thing is how long it took for Alvarez to get busted, for a few years now he's been far bigger than his opponent, something was clearly up.

Re: Boxing thread
Any predictions for wee Carl Frampton vs Donaire.
Tricky one, Donaire still has a killer left but seeing the pressers and interviews this week I've never seen Carl so focussed, so determined, think he knows this is make or break for another crack at the title.
Frampto's on points

Lying in bed in b&b with the iPad on - decided to stick with skyGo to see if Khan has anything left about him but I’m sure the fight will be Frampton on BT!

Re: Boxing thread
Brilliant from Khan, absolutely obliterated Le Greco, who would never have expected such an early onslaught. He has the fastest hands in the division and I think he gives anyone at 147 a run for their money.
Re: Boxing thread
That fight will have done little good for Khan apart from his confidence. A solid enough test after two years back, but ultimately he needs rounds. A stunning performance still.
Frampton is the real deal, a really good performance against Donaire. Would love to see him in against Valdez or Selby next (assuming Selby boxes the ears of Warrington in a few weeks)

Re: Boxing thread
Josh Taylor's next fight is a step up in class in Victor Postol which should be a good fight.
Also it's live on terrestrial TV and free which is massive as I can't think of a better fight that's been free to air in the last couple of years

Re: Boxing thread
Saw the Hart vs Nicholson fight. Shoddy refereeing and how weird was the ending of that?
