Re: Official Betting Thread
Two more value picks for tomorrow. I will summarise here and post the links to the tips I wrote where there is a full write-up on each:
12.55 Lingfield - Graceful James
Has won off this mark before and came an extremely close 2nd off this mark and C&D coming back from a long absence. Now more race-fit, he can make amends. I'm not keen on either the favourite's or 2nd favourite's chances. He also has a good draw. 5/1 is very generous.

2.30 Lingfield - Giogiobbo
Newcomer to UK - has only raced in Italy/France prior. A bit unknown on form vs other horses but his record over this trip on AW since start of 2017 is: 1st, 1st, 2nd, 1st, 2nd, 1st, 1st, 1st. The more recent three of these were for winning prizes of £15k, £23k and £23k so must be decent races. Adam Kirby being booked as the jockey also catches the eye. The favourite has good credentials but didn't go that well off a similar mark in a lower class contest. All in all, it's a punt but 8/1 in a six-runner race is way too good to ignore.

Re: Official Betting Thread
These two are my own tips and selections, but I will also add Smaoineamh Alain, who races in the 3.20 Chepstow, into a little trixie with them. He is currently trading at around the 5/1 mark. I liked what I saw from a tip on twitter... Just have to get the spelling correct on the betslip tomorrow morning

Re: Official Betting Thread
Blah, today was a weak effort. Graceful James ran an ok race in 2nd, but unfortunately got swept up by the big-priced Shyron who looks like he might be getting back to his best. Then our hopeful punt Giogiobbo showed why he had a lack of market support despite his winning record abroad.
Onto tomorrow...
My first tip is going to be Seafarer in the 2.00 at Lingfield. He's currently 7/1, third favourite. He reopposes the even money favourite, Redicean, but this time is 9lb better off against him. Meanwhile, the second favourite has not raced since May 2018 and his last AW win was off 83, this time he's running off 89.
I feel like 7/1 is quite tasty given the large swing in the weights.

Re: Official Betting Thread
Us to win away at Bournemouth is good value at around 2/1. Head to head form is meaningless to me as we now have a completely different team and footballing philosophy.
We are high in confidence coming off a good December and a win against Arsenal. Our players may well have the mindset that they will want to show just how we are capable without Arnie and I expect them to put in a good spirited display. Bournemouth are going through a bad run of form and so I like us at anything over the 6/4 mark.

Re: Official Betting Thread
Personally I think we are a good bet to lose to nil at Bournemouth. They are the type of team we lose to regularly and no Arnie could be very disruptive.
Man U and Spurs are bankers; Palace are a longshot worth £2 @16-1. Beat Man City away and Liverpool have many injuries.

Good work S-H.. all on Altior then today
My other small fancies today are 2.25 Ascot - Colonial Dreams 15/2 and 3.00 Ascot - Doitforthevillage 14/1. Both small EW fancies... tricky cards today.

Re: Official Betting Thread
Form guide for our game - Bournemouth have yet to lose to anyone outside the top 6 at home this season in 8 fixtures.
We have had 7 games against teams 7th-13th ( that little bloc we are in ) - one win, four defeats, 3/7 games end in losses to nil.
Odds should be quite long for a win. 12/5 on Betfair looks a bit stingy to me.

Re: Official Betting Thread
Only a neck between Redicean (8/11) and Seafarer who went off at 6/1... at least I was right to oppose the favourite, just with the wrong horse.r99c wrote:Good work S-H.. all on Altior then today

Colonial Dreams ran a blinder but just came up short against a solid Ballymoy, and Doitforthevillage plugged on for a solid 2nd so I'll take that!
Said the other day how Harry Cobden is riding well at the moment and he wins extremely easily though on Cyrname in the 3.00 despite the horse's mark not being changed by the handicapper for ages, kind of frustrating but we live and learn!
Football acca just for interest today is us to beat Bournemouth, Leeds to beat Stoke and draws in the New-Cardiff game and Soton-Everton games.

Very confident with Wedding Date in the 4.50 at Wolverhampton tomorrow. Will write up my tip and edit this post later.
Market has just opened... 7/1 on Bet365 and it's an 8 runner race. Max stakes EW, you know the score

FML - great race, SP 10/1, but gets done in a photo by the 40/1 outsider of the race. Could cry!r99c wrote:Very confident with Wedding Date in the 4.50 at Wolverhampton tomorrow. Will write up my tip and edit this post later.
