TBH, I'd fancy my chances at this tournament, given the quality of snooker I played last night. I was completely unstoppable, and would've took any of the top 16 to the cleaners.

Not if I arranged a large sum of money to be paid to you to throw the match, you wouldn't.

I'm not a pointy-chinned sweaty-faced scotch c*nt. Well, I am, I suppose, but I'm not THAT one.

Ronnie gets his 19th major. 5 worlds, 7 UK’s and 7 Masters. Bloody hell.

Ronnie is probably in the top 5 most gifted sportsmen of all time. Hopefully he can better Stephen Hendry's World championship record in the next few years before he retires.

I think he can equal Davis, but I don't see him winning another 3. Even 2 is a big ask.

Imagine what Ronny would have won if he had not kept falling in and out of love with the game!

My old Dad loves the snooker, as do I and I have got us both a ticket for a session in the quarter finals for next year. He will love the experience of the Crucible I'm sure. Just to be there once will be a thrill.
I can't wait to see his face, its like when I first took my kids the The Boleyn.

Can someone have a word with Judd Trump and explain that the tie knot isn't meant to be wider than his neck?

I like Trump and he has been around a while now, never quite fulfilling his early promise, but maybe that's all about to change. Good timing on Trump's part with World Championship in Sheffield on the horizon. Ronnie is obviously one of snooker's greats but I've never warmed to him and it's always good to see someone winning the Masters for the first time.
Would be happy to see Trump win at Sheffield but would love to see Mark Williams make a successful defense.

He played some very defensive stuff in the quarters against Selby, which seemed to be the right tactic. Might translate well to the Worlds, too. Definitely one to watch.

Did it with his left, of course. As someone who plays snooker every week, I do wish I hadn’t spent quite so much time watching Ronnie make it look so easy, when, in fact, it is f*cking impossible.

I bunked lectures that day and watched it live. I still haven't seen anything in sport to compete with the casual, impossible, brilliance of that maximum.

Follow O'Sullivan on Twitter - geezer is a loon yet does make me laugh, just says what he thinks and will ly into other players if he feels like it. Keeps taking the piss about having to get those ranking points mate
