Hammer.C.A
Classic case of the bet/match picking you, not you picking the bet. Happens to all of us.
Always lose with your first choice, than try to win with someone else's.
(Well, not ALWAYS, if you catch my drift!)
Few interesting games tonight. I should be back on later with a double.

Re: Official Betting Thread
If anyone is having a punt on tomorrow's match v Newcastle -
In six games against the bottom 6 away from home last year the first goal in the match was scored at 3,5,9,13,18 and 23 minutes respectively.
Both sides scored in every game.
Under Bilic, we have scored in just under 80% of our away games.
I've covered some winning scores for us that range from optimistic (once a season type away win) to 'stupid boy'. .
Edit: In 43 away games, we've scored 3 or more nine times under Slaven.

Dutched on the exchange?
1-2, 1-3, 2-3, 2-4 and 1-4 is worth dutching for £30, for sure, Cover under 1.5 and laying off as we go.

Re: Official Betting Thread
I've just done scorelines (I never normally try to pick them or back us) that have come up once a season for us under Slav - so roughly 20-1 against in terms of form. Betfair had them at 80-1 and 400-1.
Just a few quid.
The easy bets here seem to be West Ham to score, over <2.5 goals and both sides to score - though Benitez/Newcastle make me a little hesistant - defensive coach and a team that doesn't seem to have goals in it. I'll wait on Slav's selection.

I backed Newcastle to be up at HT, unfortunately I expected a strong reply from our lot.
My father in law never bets on West Ham - always let him down. Nor do I usually - always bet against,

Re: Official Betting Thread
I find betting against West Ham in more passive markets is always fruitful; corners, cards etc
Can generally read a game, based on our lineup and opposition, as to whether we're going to be giving away a truckload of corners.

Can get England to win this test match at 1/2. Need 8 wickets today and I reckon West Indies definitely have a collapse in them this afternoon.

Re: Official Betting Thread
England now 2/1 and west indies 7/4 with Bet 365.
Really cannot see a draw now as all overs have to be bowled on the last day as long as light is okay.
If you put say £50 on each theirs profit either outcome.

Re: Official Betting Thread
I've taken the Windies at 8/5 and England at 4/1.
Will be keeping an eye on the draw price.

Burnley and Swansea are 13-10 tomorrow or better, I'll add Hertha Berlin and St. Etienne to those 2.

I couldn't tip rubbish at the moment. The bet of the weekend for me was Exeter to win yesterday but only put a tenner on it.Hammer.CA wrote:Burnley and Swansea are 13-10 tomorrow or better, I'll add Hertha Berlin and St. Etienne to those 2.

Peterborough were good value at 23/20 at my bookies but only had a score on them.

Thankfully avoided this, don't know if I could have coped with Calleri ruining my bet.NottingHammer6 wrote:Tempted by west ham/Malaga Double tonight at 3/1 but unsure...

Re: Official Betting Thread
I had Sheff. Utd (I know) and Shrewsbury, Colchester and Crewe let me down. I do them full cover, so only 2 correct selections returned £19+ for a £15 stake.

RB Leipzig are 11/10 to beat Monaco, were 5/4 yesterday. Decent price I think, £20.

Re: Official Betting Thread
Paddypower are doing 5/1 on Bournemouth to win and both teams to score. Max £20 bet so stuck a tenner on. 7/2 elsewhere and seems really good value considering Bournemouth are at home to a newly promoted team and concede a lot
