I'd quite like to trade punches with the horse or jockey after that showing!

Sam Eggington v Mohamed Mimoune. Could be a bit of a nightmare for Sam, you can get 8s on Mohamed, I got 10's yesterday. Worth a small bet IMO.

Belgium are around a very generous 6/4 tomorrow away at Bosnia. Lukaku being ruled out and Bosnia needing a result i'm sure has contributed to it but surely this is a given...

Wales v Ireland tonight, 4+ corners each team and each team 20+ booking pts (10pts per yellow). 11/2. Looks great value to me. SkyBet by the way.

I often think these 4 and 20 bets look value, but they rarely come in.

4 corners are not the problem, it's the 2 cards per team which usually ruins it.

You're much safer trying to factor in a 4 corners each + 30/40 match booking pts for not a huge dip in odds.

Had a nice win last night. Picked up £90 from the evening games, primarily on a Swiss corner in the first 15mins + Lukaku scoring, then placed the lot on the following:

1. Brazil v Chile - 4 corners each half
2. Argentina v Ecuador - Arg to score 2+ goals, Arg 5+ corners, Ecu 20+ booking points

Double RequestaBet returned just over 4/1 - returned £452

Was sweating though... 8 first half corners in the Brazil match and then 3 corners in the second half. Had to wait for the 89th min for the 4th corner of the half to come in.
Up to that point I was absolutely cursing, watching the match on my phone.

Interesting article on beating the odds (New Scientist)
...............................

Then the team decided to try betting for real. They developed an online tool that would apply their odds-averaging formula to upcoming football matches. When a favourable opportunity arose, a member of the team would email Kaunitz and his wife, one of whom then placed a bet. They kept this up for five months, placing $50 bets around 30 times a week.

And they were winning. After five months the team had made a profit of $957.50 – a return of 8.5 per cent. There were some administrative costs, such as the expense of running servers to keep track of the odds in real time. But Kaunitz and his wife did get to splash out on a nice dinner in Tokyo, he says. “We were excited but it’s worth mentioning – you need to spend a lot of time to do it.”

.......................

Online bookmakers have very tight profit margins, so some offer generous odds for very short periods of time on certain matches to lure automated or expert betting systems out into the open, says economist David Forrest at the University of Liverpool, UK. “They will try to trap the robots,” he says. “Anyone who responds has their account closed.”

Some of the researchers’ accounts may have fallen foul of this system. In some cases they found they could not bet at all after signing up with certain bookies. If so, then this suggests their technique really was finding the best odds out there. But the house still always wins in the end.
As far as I can see, this is different to matched betting.

I've been using the "only bet when you're certain" strategy over the past few days. Single bets at short odds. Had these all win ...

FK Qarabag @ 4/6

Lanus @ 11/10

Valencia @ 6/4

Inter Milan @ 23/20

Club Brugges @ EVENS

Huracan @ 9/4

The only one to let me down was Newcastle @ 4/1 to beat Southampton on Sunday.

Also, on the horses, I had 4 winners in a Lucky 15 last week (£7.50 stake paid £260) and lumped on Withhold @ 10/1 on Friday night and watched it cruise home after being backed into 5's
