Two more selections, summaries below with the link to my full write-up for each.

Kelso 13.25 - Landecker - 4/1
He's a course specialist having won over C&D twice running off 115. Today he runs off 109 - his mark has tumbled due to a series of poor runs, but last time out he finally ran well and got second behind a good thing. Rivals in the betting all have questions to answer.

Newcastle 16.10 - Stargazer - 13/8
Won in great style last time out over C&D, running off level weights and beating a Godolphin favourite into 2nd and then horses rated 105 and 106 into 3rd and 4th. Stargazer was rated 97 that day but only gets raised to 100 for this race. He also ran well over C&D last year, but has been tried on a variety of courses and distances. Every chance that 2m on AW is his niche.

Good luck if you play :scarfer:

A small profit today though.. really sickening. That's a 10/1 horse going down in the final strides against a 40/1 outsider yesterday, and an even money (more or less) favourite going down in exactly the same fashion when leading, to a horse whose connections just put him in this race to 'try out the distance' and weren't confident... "certainly not a betting proposition" when they tweeted yesterday. Could have been absolutely laughing had things turned out slightly different gggrrrr :(

Good card at Gowran Park tomorrow. Grade 2 stayers hurdle at 1.50, with some class horses including the long awaited return of RSA Chase winner and Gold Cup favourite, Presenting Percy.

As it's his return after 9 months off though, I am taking a very hopeful punt on Don Poli. His last run (return from nearly 2 years' absence) can be forgiven due to carrying top weight on heavy ground. Now he's on level weights and hopefully is more fit. The opposition is fairly questionable and this is a big drop in class for Don Poli so I recommend taking the current 25/1 each way on him. Obviously it's not likely to come in, but is good value, I'd have had him about 14/1 or so.

3.00 is a great handicap race. I can't decide between Invitation Only and Monbeg Notorious so I am betting win only on both and also will do a reverse forecast.

As well as the above for Gowran, I will also put up Vaxalco

Made his seasonal/stable debut and finished a respectable 3rd. Should come on very well for that and he's running off 98, 4lb lower than that previous race. Also has the claimer on board taking off 7lb (only took off 3lb last time).

Cracking value at 7/1 in a 6 runner race - the opposition all has question marks too and I'm happy to take a punt here.

Edit- meeting abandoned :(

Yep, Magic of Light couldn't cope with the quicker pace on a shorter trip and flat track as expected! 8-)

Annoyingly I just noticed my previous tip Vaxalco just finished 2nd in the race before at 14/1! Maybe one for your trackers that one.

Fancies for Saturday
Cheltenham trials day is upon us! :D

I've looked through the cards and identified 4 that I will back, all four are 1pt/0.5pt EW.

As usual, selection with a short summary, and a link to my long race preview:

12.40 - Our Power 5/1 - similar form lines to the 6/4 favourite, but possibly further scope for improvement in this sphere - http://www.bettingkingdom.co.uk/betting ... wer/104615" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

1.15 - First Drift EW 12/1 - 8 runner race making EW a good opportunity. Mark hasn't gone up and is running well with a claimer on board - http://www.bettingkingdom.co.uk/betting ... -EW/104616" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

1.50 - Siruh Du Lac 5/1 - on for a hatrick, good record over fences, slight suspicion that connections are trying to creep his mark up and very unexposed/lightly raced - http://www.bettingkingdom.co.uk/betting ... Lac/104617" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

3.35 (Cleeve Hurdle) Unowhatimeanharry EW 12/1 - proven in grade 1 races, C&D and a nice price given the horses at top of market are unproven over this distance - http://www.bettingkingdom.co.uk/betting ... -EW/104618" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

All four are quite high price, so this could be where my good run ends, but that's the beauty of racing! Good luck if you follow.

Palace might be good value - wait to see the teams mind,.

Derby, Everton , West Ham as a treble looks okay.

Man C and Chelsea are bankers.

Get in there Siruh Du Lac, superb round of jumping... other 2 were a bit crap! Come on Harry in the Cleeve, time to roll back the years :D

Edit - ah well. The only thing that put me off Paisley Park was his previous performance at HQ, but that just now was outstanding.

Paisley Park/Penhill reverse forecast in the Stayers at Cheltenham seems a good bet :wink:

Champagne Classic makes his chase debut in the third race at Naas after nearly a two year absence.

It's a big ask, but in his previous race, he comfortably beat Penhill, Monalee, Presenting Percy and Al Boum Photo.

If he can run to this form, then 7/1 is humongous, but obviously it's a big if. Good luck if you risk it!

That's about as eyecatching a run after that much time off AND on a chase debut that I have ever seen.

I'm honestly thinking about antepost for the RSA Chase. With the form from his previous race and that display, surely he'll improve next time out, you'd think some time in February, and then line up in the RSA?
