I've just read the T/Cs.
I don't do any of these type of bets but it looks like you get paid cash at the normal odds for the double.
The extra enhanced odds are in free bets.
Always read the T/Cs on these type of bets. Especially those where you have to roll over a certain amount of cash (in bets) before you can withdraw the winnings..
And check the minimum odds you have to reach when placing your free bets.

Re: Official Betting Thread
These are good if done right.
You 'win' the £170.
Then be smart and find a way to lay it off on Betfair. On 888 you 'bet' the £170 on something at evens or higher that you believe will lose. You then bet against it on Betfair for the same odds (look for an 'arb' situation) and then should the 888 selection lose, you have the credit in your Betfair account.
But you run this risk of winning and having the £340 'bonus' money, non withdrawable, in your 888 account.
What are the turnover requirements for this? 10x probably, or something equally daft?

Re: Official Betting Thread
The Gambling Commission looked into the free bets situation after the fiasco on free bets last year.
Issued a statement in January (for what its worth) about promotions being fair and transparent.
It's their biggest time of the year. The experienced punter knows many of the pitfalls. And how best to use the free bets for a profit. Though, even (some) of the experienced match betters got stung last year by these offers.
My problem is with the casual punter who gets taken in by the "huge odds" available for a certain outcome without the knowhow or will or time to make the bet succeed......"be careful out there"

-3 pts (3.48)
Stoke won their leg with a comfortable 2-0 over a very lacklustre Middlesbrough, however, Southend let the double down against a determined Port Vale side who were lucky not to get all 3 points. After going behind with 15mins to go, Southend got a late equaliser, but couldn't take all 3 pts for the double.

Going to discount that pick NH
1 minute before kick off, we need much more notice than that. At least a few hours minimum.

Re: Official Betting Thread
I don't mind the free bets so much. I always save a few bookies in the bank to open accounts up with just in time for the festival.
Few will be opened in the Mrs name as well. Basically means can punt all week without depositing much

Sevilla continue their knack of low scoring affairs securing the unders with a 1-1 draw away at Alaves, whilst the 2nd leg of the double came in injury time with Manuel Lanzini scoring a late consolation for a lackluster West Ham side who never looked like scoring all night.
