You can get a terrible sea type mist there. Don't think any danger of that this week though Pauline.
It arrived....... :)

(In the last race) I won £22 on nothing more than spotting the first horse coming out of the mist in the lead inside the final furlong.....Truth or Dare...Image

Every year do a £5 accy on the domestic champions. You'd be surprised how hard it is to predict 1, never mind 4.

In 1999 I did a £1 win yankee on Man U, Sunderland, Fulham, Brentford, paid out a grand.

This year, accumulator on.....

Man Utd
Middlesbrough
Blackburn
Luton
Tranmere

£5 pays £26000 lol

Had a great 4 fold team to win and both teams to score last night;

Sheffield Utd
Bolton
Leeds
Villa

Was a very nervous end as I am with 888 who don't offer a cash out option.

140/1 had a fiver on it.

Stick with them mate, I wish i didn't have cash out. Cost me £200 cashing out on Barnsley the other night and they went on and scored a 95th Minute winner in a 4-3 win

Sorry to trump you guys, but my mate's little sister - who 'just sticks on a fiver every now and then' had Bolton, Leeds, Burton, Sheff Utd & Aston Villa to win & BTTS

£2.50 returned £2,556.32

She usually sticks a fiver on.

It's great, she's only youngish - around 20 - and has a 1yr old and a young boyfriend, so it's nice that it's happened to her.

Good for her, I bet she was chuffed.

they look like such simple bets when they come off but they rarely do (hence the odds I guess).

I look at bets such as these and think, what's the point of putting in the work elsewhere?

I have had days where I've thought 'f*** it' and stuck £5 on a random 4 way and it's returned me £200

Then another day, I'd do some serious studying of form, team news, results, etc and find 3 absolute gems to put in a trixie and not only will they lose, but they'll be the complete opposite of what you've marked.

For example, I'd do Tottenham v West Ham - Tottenham win & BTTS
West Ham win 3-0

I used to do what I called shotgunning.
Pulling up a long list of pretty much all the day's major fixtures, around 60 games on the page and then just squint my eyes and click all down the screen until I had anywhere between 4 and 10 selections, then just past 50p and click submit.
Spend £20 on 40 bets and there were some days where I was a couple of goals away from £500+ and plenty where you'd have a couple of £15-£30 winners, with the outside - but very near - chance of a huge win on an 8 way or something.

Whilst I was delighted for her, it also left me a little sickened and deflated.

I know what you mean. Some weeks I spend ages looking at who scores and concedes the most, pick two teams with a lot of goals for and a lot of goals against that are playing each other and it ends up 0-0.

I often think I will just let me girlfriend pick next week (who doesn't follow football at all).
