My suggestions would be as below:

*QB*
- 300-399 pass yards - 2 points
- 400+ - further 2 points

*RB*
- 100-199 rush yards - 2 points
- 200+ - further 2 points

WR/RB/TE
- 100-199 rec yards - 2 points
- 200+ - further 2 points

I don't agree with 'big play' bonuses, as you are already getting a boatload of points for a long rushing TD (for instance). a 60 yard run is 12 points... I personally think that's enough already, and giving bonus points for one play is going to play a huge part in a weekly matchup.

Is there a way to do bonus points for players on winning teams?

Would be good if there was a differentiation for garbage time hollow stat boosts and players who actually contributed to W's.

not sure i'd like that.
tough to balance, and possibly unfair to a great player on a poor team.

but open to give it a go if we find a good way to implement it (assuming it is possible)

i agree to take chunk plays TDs bonus away, but i'll keep the over 100 yards per game: it is true that you already get the yardage points, but a RB that runs for a 100 yards should be awarded more than a 40 yards + TD RB. it also slightly diminishes the impact of TDs which are highly volatile.

*QB*
- 300-399 pass yards: 1 point
- 400+: 2 additional points
- 40+ yard pass TD: 0 points
- 50+ yard pass TD: 0 points

*RB*
- 100-199 rush yards: 2 points
- 200+: 2 additional points
- 40+ yard rush TD: 0 points
- 50+ yard rush TD: 0 points

WR/RB/TE
- 100-199 rec yards: 2 points
- 200+: 2 additional points
- 40+ yard rec TD: 0 points
- 50+ yard rec TD: 0 points

I'm happy with either Warp or Peter Parkers' suggestions. Happy to vote for either.

Unfortunately the only bonuses available are the ones listed above, that is 300-399, 400+, 40yard TD and 50 yard TD pass, and then the corresponding for the skill positions.

As it stands, nobody who has posted so far is keen on the individual play bonuses. It's looking like the bonuses, if any, will come from the full yardage achieved for the game by the player.

I'll leave this to run a bit longer so that anyone else can have a say if they wish, then see where we're at in terms of the result leaning a certain way.

My vote is casted to Warp's suggestion above

warp x2

Correlates nicely across the board without going over the top, and the single point for a QB between 300-399 feels right as that 300 mark is often achieved through garbage time and isn't the benchmark it once was.

Sorry but on principle I can't sign up for anything warp suggested, however well presented, sensible and agreeable the suggestion was.

As it is, warp’s suggestion seems to be the most popular on here so we’ll tentatively pencil that in for now.

Now for the rest of the scoring for offense dynasty only.

This is the default:

Pass Yards: 1 point per 25 yards
Pass TDs: 4 points
Interception: -2 points

Rush Yards: 1 point per 10 yards
Rush TDs: 6 points

Rec Yards: 1 point per 10 yards
Rec TDs: 6 points

Fumble Recovered for TD: 6 points
Two point conversion: 2 points
Fumbles Lost: -2 points

Any suggestions for what you would like?

For me:

I think RB and WR scoring is bang on as default.

I would want to change QB pass yards to 1 point per 30 yards, making a 300 yard QB game equal to a 100 yard RB/WR game.

I would possibly want to add a QB Sacked for -1 point each time. This would allow for the OL to be involved in fantasy. Possibly up a Pass TD from 4 to 6 points, whilst also upping an Interception to -3.

I think something like this would allow great QB games to be rewarded well but more mediocre ones to be toned down accordingly.

agree with you:

- 1pt/30 pass yards
- sacks give -1
- pass TD 6 pts, interception -3
- i'd give -2 to all fumbles, lost or not. +2 for fumble recovery, whether it is defense or offense.

Yeah I'm ok with those suggestions too. The INT suggestion should help increase a good QBs value vs say a Bortles.

Agree. His first Int should only be worth -1. His fifth -10.

We were thinking of adding a weekly pregame -10 points to any team with a Bernese dog in their badge :)

Change of plan. Due to unavailability, we can’t do the dynasty draft any time between 16th August and 1st September. As we have the Regular fantasy draft around the start of September, we are now looking at doing the dynasty draft within the next couple of weeks, before preseason week 1.

We would start late enough in the day so that the guys in America aren’t put out either. Probably early evening.

So for dynasty, the draft would be on a date before the start of preseason (August 9th). We have so far confirmed:

Bernese MDs
Silverbacks
Gladiators
Hurricanes
Cheddar
Vulcans
Pounders
Eletricos
Knights
Grizzlies

10 so far. 4 more to confirm.

Big plays are a key part of the game and should be rewarded. One of the reasons certain players get drafted high is that they have big play potential.
