He's a machine. Incredible what he's done since that knee injury.

Two best fighters in that weight class, by some distance. I think Khabib gets the win.

Yeah I think you're right. For me, Ferguson is the only fighter in that weight class who has a chance against Khabib.

okay Dan

here's a reminder...there's a fight card tomorrow...

UFC ON ESPN: NGANNOU VS. DOS SANTOS

Junior dos Santos vs. Francis Ngannou
Jussier Formiga vs. Joseph Benavidez
Demian Maia vs. Anthony Rocco Martin
Roosevelt Roberts vs. Vinc Pichel
Drew Dober vs. Marco Polo Reyes
Paul Craig vs. Alonzo Menifield

not the greatest, but then again it isn't p.p.v. Ngannou is a heavy hitter and dos Santos is a good allround fighter iirc.....

don't say I don't think about ya Dan !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two big heavyweights who like to punch very hard? Don’t mind if I do! I think Ngannou has this. Got some dynamite in his fists, and no mistake. His KO of Steroideem was an absolute peach.

Dunno too much about Benavidez’s opponent, so I’m not calling this one.

I will always support Demian Maia, because he’s the best at my preferred style I’ve seen in the octagon.

July 6, 2019

MAIN CARD

Jon Jones vs. Thiago Santos TITLE FIGHT

any early predictions ? two out of two called for you last night mate.....

I can't see Holmes beating Nunes.....but what do I know, I thought Cyborg would have given her at least a run for her money....

last night's card was brilliant......

Don’t expect to be able to watch this in the uk for free they have just made it ppv. I just renewed my BT sport purely for the UFC and the sly bitches do this! What arseholes!

Last nights fighting was pretty awesome, Ngannou nailed Cigano and benavidez was savage as usual. Hugely impressed with Menifield although Craig is a limited striker.

Predictions?

Masvidal will get smothered by Askren (unfortunately).

Jones will work out Santos, he’s far too smart for him and his heavy hands.

Nunes will do what Nunes does, comfortable victory for her.

Rockhold is huge for his fight, bit unfair really and f*** knows with chiesa and Sánchez, they’re both so gamey it could go either way!

Terrible timing in the uk, that’s why I actually paid for by sport so I can record them and with them the next day.

Who you got for ^

I honestly don't know enough about all or any of them to be spot on

I thought the main event last night would be closer.

I think Nunes is untouchable from watching her last fights. she absolutely destroyed Cyborg who up until then was untouchable herself.

the main event should be a ding dong (but again I thought that last night too......)

:D

it's so hard to predict comfortably....last night for example, dos Santos just threw a punch missed, got all turned around and bang ! it was all over. I don't even think N'Gannou planned exactly on that, but you make one mistake at that level and goodbye that's all she wrote.

They’ve really got to stop letting Jones keep taking whatever drugs he wants. He’d probably win without them, but we don’t know, because he’s a completely amoral arse.

Masvadal absolutely battered Askren in 5 seconds..and that included the ref coming over and stopping the fight....

no love lost here.............Askren must have been out a full 5 minutes, and they took him from the ring looking well wobbly... didn't even take part in the official decision.

Nunes ? well what can you say..no one left to fight her. re-match with Cyborg ? but why ? (other than money of course)

Jones got booed at the end. Santos won on one card and lost narrowly on the other 2 - he tried a kick earlier on in round 1 I think it was and put his knee right out..Jones had to be helped out of the arena unable to walk on his left leg through taking so many calf kicks. Jones wasn't impressive, on another night it might have gone the other way. can see a re-match in this one.

Rockford got battered - says a broken jaw.

Chiesa looked good but to be honest Sanchez wasn't good at all.

Uriah Faber rolled away the years - not quite sure how good Simon is although he came in off the back of a couple of good wins

think Herb Dean stopped the fight too early, in fact he looked as though he was stepping after the first punch. Ladd looked okay and not too badly hurt. de Randamie hit her hard but not enough to stop the fight at that time. loads of fighters feel it was too early. that's two fights lately Dean stepped in early.
