Bloke's a ****ing egotistical prick taking all his numpty fans along for a ride.

I give it 12 months until he's roundly seen by the same as a complete helm, after first appearing to be their 'Lad' god.

McGregor claims his fight v Diaz at UFC 200 is back on. What a farce.

They're in the business of promoting a fight and actually fighting. If you don't have an ego, you aren't going to go far when performing at such an elite level. And if you can't talk it up and get people to watch, you aren't going to make big money. It's the nature of the game.

He's a lad from around Dublin, who like many others, was dissatisfied with his trade and wanted to be rich and be a star. Through hard work, massive talent and his own brand of character, he achieved it. I've got untold respect for someone like that and would never wish for them to get their **** ****ed up.
Amen bro.

Michael Bisping vs Luke Rockhold tonight.
Bisping will be the first British fighter to compete for a UFC belt since Dan Hardy fought Georges Saint-Pierre more than six years ago for the welterweight belt and would be the first fighter from the UK to hold a title in the world's leading MMA promotion if he can beat Rockhold.

Fair play to Bisping but he is about as classless a winner as I've seen.

Rockhold equally if not worse though.

Rockhold prob wins a rematch , although someone else will have beaten Bisping by then

I'd say McGregor has the least class of all, rambling on about money every minute of the week. Does anyone care how much money a fighter earns? Is it to pander to a different audience? As stupid as footballers can be, in general you don't seem to see much about bragging over how much they get paid. I guess team sports are a little different in that regard.

In other news, Kimbo Slice has died at the age of 42. Far too young.

It's a shame but the guy was a long term user of AAS.

Not saying that led to his death but there's a sporting chance it didn't help

There are a remarkably high number of 40 and 50 something deaths in the wrestling and MMA industries.

Yes and bodybuilding but never any acknowledgement from the industry's press as to the real reasons why that is the case.

They just see themselves as unlucky. Right ho.

The instant assumption is drug abuse whenever I see this kind of thing. Not recreational drugs either.

I feel no pity. He knew there'd be a good chance of significantly reducing his life. Just hope the financial rewards were worth it.

I do laugh when I see guys filling themselves with **** down the local gym just to look more buff in the club on a Saturday night though. If you're doing it for a career and serious monetary gain its understandable, but to satisfy your pathetic ego, very sad.

Still some decent fights on there, I wouldn't pay for it though if I was an American TV viewer.

The performance enhancing drugs theme continues in UFC, first Jon Jones and now Brock Lesnar. Jon Jones, is that his career over? Possibly the best fighter in history, already tarnished by being a cock outside of the ring and now serious questions over whether he's been juiced up the entire time. 2 year ban as a minimum.

And Brock Lesnar, pretty obvious he's previously been on the 'roids and now flagged for a potential anti-doping violation. The UFC needs to start punishing fighters on PEDs properly, the health of opposition fighters comes into serious question. Michael Bisping has essentially been disfigured by long-time juice head Vitor Belfort, someone the size of Lesnar could do even worse.

McGregor wins a majority decision over Diaz. A tough fight, a close fight.
